First of all I am 100% absolutely not promoting any type of opiod use, I know these are extremely dangerous and addictive drugs. I have Tramadol and Oxy stashed for an upcoming surgery (I don't trust doctors for pain relief) and I am pretty much terrified to use them with any regularity.
But I have been poking around on this forum and did research on opioids. I found out that the effects of Oxycontin and Heroin are pretty much identical. I've gotten. high on Oxy 3 times in my life, and it was very euphoriating, I also found out that Oxy on the street is insanely expensive, and from what I researched on the internet, heroin is way cheaper.
I know the danger of fentanyl is greater with heroin....but really not all that much. I was also told by someone who has been around opioids a lot that people do move from Oxy to heroin.
However since the price differential is so much, why don't more people make that move?
Again I am not promoting drug use, I just don't understand why people are paying so much (more than a dollar an mg) for Oxy?
