Speeding is soooo creepy and has extreme paranoia... It make me feel so unhappy and unable to concentrate on anything... Makes me feel distant from people.... and the heart beating so fast creeps me out... feels like it's gonna explode.

I honestly want to know if any of you like speeding, what do you find so joyful about it? I need some perspective.

Has to do with your dopamine levels becoming too high. There are a number of tricks to get your dopamine levels down, but I fear posting them would prove a bad idea.

One of them is having sex (if you're a guy.) Despite popular theory, it's proven that your sensitivity to dopamine is reduced days after orgasm. If you've ever wondered why you don't feel like doing anything after having sex, that is why.

This would also explain why amphetamines seem to be more pleasurable to me after having sex.

Controlling your dose is another thing. As well as managing a sleep schedule and getting food. Part of the bad effects of amphetamines are that most people react based on their instincts. If they do not feel the need to sleep or eat, they will not do it. This leads to "THE FACES OF METH" and all of those horror stories that we saw in 6th grade.

Renz Envy: Do you mean that uncomfortable speeding happens when your dopamine levels are too high? As in you take too much? Or is speed always this way

so you don't really do it for the physical feeling or the state of mind? you use it more as a way to advance yourself with your work?

pretty much! the physical feeling is just an added bonus.

i'm not one of those cats that gets ON IT for days or weeks on end, no sleep, totally off their rocker paranoid, looking out the window all day and night. don't get me wrong i've done that (not the paranoia/window looking but the staying awake for days) and really didn't enjoy it at all and the comedown was horrific. i'd say, pretty much passed the 2nd day i'm just feeling sick the whole time and throwing up. yeah... not cool.

amphetamines are not always that way (at least on my end). i'd say you've definitly done a tad to much.

different people react differently to the same drug though..

speed if my favorite high , i seldom do it but the high is the best feeling of all drugs i have tried out , it actually makes me calm and focused with a crazy amount of motivation.
i love the Empathy.

its easy to overdo, prob best to do a couple of times a year at max.
as comedowns can indeed become horrible.

only coke gives me rapid heart beatings i never experienced it on speed.

i think you love it or hate it.

because it gives you euphoria, energy, confidence and focus. i dont really like it though, because i hate not being able to sleep.

I find that extreme paranoia and anxiety even borderline hallucinations can develop very quickly (over just a few hours of use, not days) even with doses that are not crazy. Unlike meth and other amphetamines which seem to take days to develop the extreme paranoia, anxiety and hallucinations that can be induced by PV in a matter of hours. Obviously with almost any stimulant some mild anxiety and even very mild paranoia can come at even small threshold doses, I am not talking about this I am talking about illogical level stuff.

I would just say to take it slow, know your dose and try to limit yourself to short sessions. Also keep a benzo on hand to help come down or if things get too intense.

I am wondering how much you did OP and for how long? Are you unsure what drug you actually ingested?

Either way, if you did Methamp (crystal meth, Ice), amphetamine (Adderal, Dexadrine, amphetime satls), MDPV or any other of the stimulants out there that are used recreationally you should have got some enjoyable or euphoric effects from it.

If you did get some pleasurable effects but the negative effects over powered the positive, I would guess you just did way too much the first time.

If all you got were the negative effects I would guess you actually did too little (This happens to me with all three mentioned. I do too little and all I get some agitation and anxiety with out any euphoria).
What you got could have also been something that causes all of the negative effects with out any euphoria or something like l-amphetamine (maybe???) as this is what causes many of the negative effects associated with Adderal compared to Dexadrine.

Because everyone's brain and body chemistry are different, uppers can provide entirely different feelings for others than they do for you.

My roommate snorted 40mg of Adderall yesterday and was loving life. He was singing the praises of amphetamines all day (...and explaining to 3 people his 'AWESOME' new idea for a reality show that he's going to [never gonna even remotely come close to happening] self produce and make millions on).

I could tell he was loving it, he was speeding, he was quick witted, talked some lady into letting us park in her condo lot and swim off her private dock etc. It's just the hit he craves.

If i snort 20mg of Adderall i get a slight sensation of pain in the base of my neck that comes and goes, my heart races, and i say "so...this is...a drug?" to myself. That's about all i get from it. I'm sure it does a little something but i really can't feel shit. Just can't sleep is all really. My roommate morphs into Tyler Durden and i'm like Meh...this is it?

I guess speed just really varies from person to person, not just in a subjective sense like 'this feeling isn't for me' but in how it actually makes you feel.

i think its purely because i just run on instinct. i do shit without thinking, but in a good way.

and i dont mean american "speed" as in meth, but as in powderd isufflated amphetmine.

and i know raves are more associated with pills, but a few lines of speed at a rave does not go down wrong!

I like it cause I can bone my ladies for hours.. and by ladies I mean my right hand..

... left hand if it's a good night.

for me it is euphoric and feels nice. very confident, have fun doing pretty much anything, talk alot, ect. i dont get the fast heart beat and anxiety until im coming down. like others have said drugs vary from person to person. but this is what it feels like for most people i think. then theres others who get nothing good from it. honestly be glad. speed can be pretty addicting and you dont have to worry about that

yeah at reasonable dosages it was always very euphoric and uplifting for me, made me much more confident and content and a general light/nice body feel...

when you over do it you end up with a pounding heart and walking round like a paranoid freak...

Im like you, I could never understand what people liked about coke or adderall. I did like the speedy X I did back in 1998 but that shit gets old quick. The heart beating out of wack & what not......not for me anymore!

I really only enjoy speed with other drugs.. unless I'm using it for functional purposes such as work. Otherwise, I find straight amp a means of getting rid of the sluggishness that comes with lots of beer. Especially the IPA's I drink which are heavy on the hops (more sedative). Or with weed.. in fact just weed and amps together without anything else is awesome.

For me it's not for the focus, or to get shit done, I can do that sober. I take it for its social effects. The perfectly timed witty remarks that make the whole group laugh out loud. The extreme confidence boost that allows me to take risks I wouldn't while sober. Talking to the hottest girls in the club, dancing like a maniac with a huge smile on my face, starting conversations with people I wouldn't have otherwise. The neverending conversations, the empathy towards everyone, the feeling that I can accomplish any goal I set for myself.

Of course, all of this is in my own mind, and I'm most likely not performing any better than I would while sober, but the dopamine buzz eliminates any second guessing and makes me believe I'm performing better. That's the point. It's an extremely enjoyable drug and very liable to misuse for those that are effected in this way. Consider yourself lucky if your amp experience was unenjoyable.
