What's the difference between dextroamphetamine and amphetamine suplhate? Is there any? I think it's the same thing. So the pills are a rip-off. Very expensive.

Are you guys worried about street speed being cut with crap or what?

A lot of people don't abuse amphetamines. Rather they use them as prescribed by their doc for the treatment of attention disorders, etc. When using amphetamine in this way, it is essential to have predetermined and accurate doses that are consistently the same potency day to day.

Dextroamphetamine vs. amphetamine.. Adderall contains a mix of the salts of amphetamine, and therefor also contains levoamphetamine. L-amphetamine has more action on norepinephrine. As a recreational drug, this wouldn't be desired. But as a therapuetic drug, the NE boost gives that extra "push".

Also remember, with insurance generic forms of Adderall can be relatively cheap.

People purchase script amphetamines because they are of known purity or because of personal preference. Dexedrine is very popular here for that reason (plus no pesky levoamphetamine to worry about).

Recreationally, a lot people prefer adderall to dexedrine. Also, not everyone has a connection for other stimulants. In much of the USA you also woulld not find amphetamine suplhate on the street. The only type of speed we have is methamphetamine. A lot of people, especially college students, would not know where to buy methamphetamine and would most likely be repelled with the stigma of using it , not to mention the unknown dosage (basically a drug that is reputed to have been made in someone's bathtub) vs buying adderall from a friend who has a prescription. I think it's completely obvious why someone might do the latter.

I don't know anyone who buys pharmaceutical stimulants for recreation, there is nothing recreational about them.
