I played with the hammer a little a while back. After a few months of social use, I dropped it and ran. Why? Because I felt I COULD get addicted to this drug, not may or was, simply could.
I'm don't like preaching, but I'm sure if more people could realise this in its early stage then heroin, and indeed all drugs would have a better rep.
As for dealers not having H, hate to rehash whats already been said, but it's the circles. I know smack dealers who wouldn't know where to get a pill from. And I know plenty of heroin users who think people who take E's are morons (I mean, look at the clothes it makes people wear
).
I think the main problem for its rep here in Aus is that it is SEEN as a poor persons drug, a junkie in the street with a needle sticking out of his arm drug. This is because it is, in comparrison to other drugs, rediculously cheap (Seen caps go for as little as about USD$3) and therefore used by a lot of homeless people and street kids as an escape. Also last year we had almost as many people die from Heroin as in car accidents (due largely to a lot of bad gear going around, it's dropped to about 5% of what it was).
So the point of this post? Not ever "User" is a "Junkie" and as with any drug, I believe you control your addiction, not the other way around
