Opioids Why do I test positive on urine test for SOO long?!

PLEASE HELP! I just got re-admitted to my methadone clinic after trying a few other methods (and failed) and i've been there for 5 days now..i am sort of asking for a special privilege of sorts and they said they will likely do it IF i have a clean test by Wed (so two days from now)..well I know for a FACT that it will definitely come up positive for opiates still because for some reason i have NEVER, EVER been able to test clean without at least 2 weeks (sometimes a month) passing without using said drug...and i want to know what causes this?! Why is it that most people can clear a test within 4 days (or even LESS!) yet I am always testing dirty a whole month later?!? i don't know what causes this! and of course they dont believe me about this, i guess i wouldnt either if i were them! Anyone else have this same problem or have experienced this? So now I don't know what to do because this is not only going to make them deny something i really need them to do for me to be able to function during the day, but also going to make me look really bad! :( I hate that i can't just be "normal" like everyone else seems to be!
 
depends on the half-life of the opiate you are using, and if you use daily, how much, how old you are, how fucked up your liver is, exercise, ect.... it only takes 2-3 days for me to get any opiate out of my system, but that is always pushing it and i am always worried
 
Sorry, we don't allow any drug testing related questions here. If you know you'll test dirty, I'd just keep going into the clinic for your dose and ask for the privilege later when you know you'll test clean (I'm assuming the 'special privilege' is related to take home doses?)

Other than that, there's nothing we can do to help :(

I'm afraid we don't allow drug testing questions here anymore. Feel free to check out this closed forum in BDD though and see if you can find what you are looking for there.

Other than that there are a whole host of reasons why you may trigger positive drug test for a longer period of time than other people. As it is unusual behaviour it may be worthwhile to have a doctor check out your liver and kidney functions but this is nothing we are going to be able to help you with.
