I've done alcohol many times at all ranges of drunkenness. From blackout to hardly noticing it. And I've never had a hangover. I vomited from the alcohol, and I've even been drunk the next day, but I've never been hungover. Do any of you guys have this? Or am I just built differently?

How old are you? I never really had a hungover either until I was in my early twenties.

Also, some people's genetic makeup it such that they don't suffer from hangovers in the same way most people do, if at all. This is fairly common IIRC, maybe 20% of people.

Unless your still young you must be built different
When I first started drinking with friends we never got hangovers ,possibly cos it dosnt take alot to get drunk when your 15 lol
Most people notice worse hangovers as they get older

20 % seems a high amount of people to be hangover resistant, could it not be that that 20% are more careful with how much they drink
My mum doesn't suffer hangovers but she gets pished after 2 glasses of wine

"About 25% of heavy drinkers claim that they have never had a hangover"

That does say heavy drinkers, but do a quick search on how common it is not to get a hangover - it's around 20-25% in just about every source I can find.

Yeh I'm sure it's all true
I'd like to do an actual scientific experiment
Have ten people in a room drinking to excess (each person the same amount)
Then study them the next day
I'm not sure how I would study them ,prob have to get someone with medical qualifications involved ,a doctor maybe

A small portion of the population does not get hangovers, well, at least not nearly the amount other people do.

You likely have genetically upregulated acetaldehyde dehydrogenase levels.

You likely genetically have the same ability as a long term alcoholics. The body adjusts and becomes much more efficient at breaking alcohol down. The more efficient your body is at breaking it down past acetaldehyde, the less hungover you get.

But don't mistake this as a good thing, you are not immune to the toxicological or cancercous properties of alcohol. Your body just breaks down ADH better than others.

As long as I drink water and eat food, I can tolerate 20+ drinks before getting hungover. This is mainly due to alcoholism forcing my body to metabolize it more quickly.
