why do I feel great on prednisone?

I took forty mg of it and feel amped. Like a strong ADHD pill. I felt the come on and was crap man I need this everyday. I'm not kidding either I feel great.

Preds is a strange drug .. for some, it can cause aggitation, weight gain, nightmares ... However, you're the 4th person I've met who gets the speedy affect.

Careful not to take too much, okay. It's not an opiate.

The last time I was given prednisone for a recurring infection, I couldn't sleep for three days. I was sure that I was having a bad reaction to it because I couldn't stop shaking. 40 mg is a pretty high dose, did you take it all at once? How long have you been on prednisone?

I'm on 60mg IV of it right now, once daily. It for sure has stimulant affects, and burns calories like nothing else. I'm on it short term but I've noticed no weight gain or fluid retention of any kind. Wouldn't say it makes me feel good though... it doesn't have a euphoric component but it does keep me awake at night even though I desperately need to sleep.

@T yes I took it all at once. It was a strange feeling but while I was trying to nod off I couldn't. It felt good like that feeling you get right before you sleep except I wouldn't sleep. Today is the only day I've taken it. I also found mini thins from 2002 lol

I've been on it for a week and experienced neurological side effects yesterday. Facial paralysis, arm numbness, difficulty speaking, visual distortions.

Be very careful. Prednisone is not to be fucked around with.
