Before posting this I want to let the mods know that I checked the Suboxone mega thread and couldn't find an answer to my specific question.
Before going onto Suboxone I had tapered down from 130mg of Methadone to 30mg. I hadn't taken an opiate in over a year, almost two. I decided to relapse because I had found a bottle of 60 Percocet. I figured I'd need to go off the Suboxone for 72 hours before being able to fully feel it. So after 24 hours off the Suboxone I took 20mg to get rid of the withdrawals. I actually felt a mild buzzing in my head and a little stimulated, no pain in my shoulders. I was taking a lot of amphetamine at the time so I felt pretty happy, but not high. After 48 hours I took 40mg, again to make sure I didn't go into withdrawals. I felt nothing. I figured I needed to wait longer so after 72 hours I took 60mg of Percocet and felt almost nothing! I was a little relaxed but it felt uncomfortable because I needed to get shit done. Keep in my mind I hadn't taken an opiate in almost 2 years. My question is what could be the possible reason?
- I was taking about 120-150mg of Adderall a day at the time during a binge so is it possible that is why I didn't feel it? I figured it was possible I'd get a speedball type effect but no.
- Is it possible I needed to actually wait MORE than 72 hours?
- Is it possible the current dose of Suboxone I was on, 8mg, was more powerful than the 60mg of oxycodone I took therefor not feeling it?
- Was it not enough to get rid of the Suboxone withdrawals? Was it only enough to simply get rid of them?
Maybe was I not in the right frame of mind? Or do you have any other conclusion? If you could be kind enough to provide one I'd be quite grateful because I still have 80mg left and figured maybe I could try again but wanted to do it right.
Once again, I checked the Suboxone mega thread and couldn't find anything.
Thx guys for any help.
EDIT: Oh crap, I need to change the title to Why didn't I feel the oxycodone!
