I remembered this girl asking me if I was a BLer at last years TT - and then looked up the website and found it (and all the information available) and joined. The rest was history.

Geez, I'm racking my brains to remember how I ended up here and I can't think of it for the life of me!

Must be all that damn ecstacy burning holes in my brain ;)

Nah I think I did a search while bored at work after I'd been taking pills for a while, and one of the sites I stumbled across was bluelight. I pretty much signed up straight away, because I found a wealth of information here presented in normal language from people who were my peers, not goverment crap.

After a few weeks though, I found myself more in the social forums than the drug ones - I adore giving advice, I've missed my calling as a Dear Abby columnist something shocking. To my surprise people actually listened and respected what I said, and that was the biggest ego boost you can imagine. I was fully hooked :) And now I'm a mod, fancy that.

I lived in a house with bluelighters, and the first weekend I was there they threw a big party. I was later to find out that it was the infamous Bluelight Fundraiser and they were all from a message board about drugs. I liked drugs, so I decided to join the message board as well. 8)

probably shouldnt write that as a newbie, give people the wrong idea about me.

I joined because I starting reading posts about a month ago, enjoyed the atmosphere, and decided i couldnt keep my mouth shut any longer...
Figured people who can combine this culture with an element of safety... two thumbs up

Exactly the same reason i joined. Found it on a link from Pillreports.com when i was looking for more info on MDMA. But here i also found a great bunch of people.

In fact I can't believe how long I just read other peoples posts before posting myself. I lurked for bout a year ...but once you pop...
 
Ok ill be the first of 2004 to post why.

for me it was just an extension of the old mdma infoclearing house days (i think that was what it was called) that site was always falling over and most of us just migrated to here when a few of the others create the whole bluelight nu thing.
 
I joined once I had discovered Ecstasy. Information / Knowledge :D
 
I had friends who were already BL'ers and had told me about the forums and about the discussions and information they had acquired from BL and I thought that it was about time I registered and contributed what I know and what I thought, haven't looked back.
 
my boyfriend at the time was a member and was forever online investigating drugs and posting in the drug discussion forum. i played around reading for a bit before i joined up. he played more on the drug forums and i played more in the social forums.
 
well bout a year after finishing spanish cschool y12 i went to a rave (forgot which one) and saw MoeBro there and hadnt seen him since school... i hardly recognised him... he didnt recognise me coz i didnt have dreads at school. anyways after that i kept in touch with him and he told me to join... so i did... thanx Moe and the rest of the BL's for making me feel welcome
 
A guy told me about it because I knew nothing about what I was taking and he thought I should try to educate myself a little. I lurked for about 6 months and really only signed up so I could post in Words. After a while I met plazma, apollo and funki and have since been sucked into the community that is bluelight.
 
I was searching at work for info on events and a link took me to pills reports and then to bluelight. I lurked for a while just reading the wealth of info on the drug forums (I really had no idea what I was taking/possible consequences at that stage). I joined cos I had some questions and also wanted to respond to other posters.
 
I met waz.

I also had this desire to get more into the whole scene, rather than just get educated thru erowid, then get high
