and never had the pleasure of trying meph, about the only popular drug i didnt bother with. however, i feel the same way you do with respects to my brain as you do swarm - but with mdma. my memory and certain brain functions especially diction are still not back to what they were ten years after my last pill. of course i dont blame the drug but my own over indulgence - but i still caution people to this day of the dangers involved getting knee deep into all that stuff. the rush associated with triple dropping mitsi triangles (which were pretty damn strong) was on a par with anything ive ever experienced including i.v cocaine/snowballs
 
yeah when I first joined BL, was about 2002, I don't remember an EADD..

I remember the Ecstacy and club drugs forum or something, anyway, thats where I posted, it wasn't full of bellends then as ED tends to be now...or am i mistaken? O maybe I just didn't see an EADD or whatever it would have been called then...

My memory is not too good.

So the original BL was a very simple, one-forum board, where threads would disappear once they went off the front page (or so, I don't know, I wasn't there). It was meant solely as a place for people to post about the quality of pills - basically like Pill Reports. Naturally, people would chat and post off-topic.

That site got canned. A couple of the members, Jase (from Wales) and Skydancer (from Holland) started this site. Which was very much started with a focus on ecstasy. We had one main discussion forum (Bluelight Discussion), an estasy-specifc one (New2XTC - really!) and a few others. There were regional forums early on, because UK/Australian stuff was getting lost in the main forum, and (I guess) having non-US admins meant that they were more open to having regional forums.

Then PhreeX lobbied for the creation of Other Drugs. It gained traffic, and gradually other drug forums were spun off from it. A bit later, Bluelight Discussion was turned int Ecstasy Discussion and we created the Lounge, for off-topic posts. So we had two forums just for ecstasy. At some point we (it was my idea actually) merged the ecstasy forums and changed New2XTC to Drug Basics.

So yeah. As a long-time member, it's been interesting to see how this place has changed. Used to be a lot more huggy PLURry rave kids, not so much now. I guess part of the value of BL is that we're documenting new developments. By now, most people have a fairly good idea about the basics of ecstasy use - the effects, risks, precautions etc. But stuff like meph and 6-APB and whatever you guys are doing this year is new, and we're the ones who are talking about them and finding new things. Personally MDMA is my drug of choice so I have less information to share now, but it's all good having the heroin users and whoever else on the site :)
 
Its interesting hearing about the history of BL and how its changed since the beginning. Especially how hard drug users were initially given a mixed welcome. I've been around less than a year myself, but from the word go I found it so refreshing that people talk openly about shooting up, smoking crack and even managing to sustain an MDPV habit. I hate hearing that certain members used to get judged, but doesn't surprise me that much unfortunately due to the sheer number of ignorant, self righteous wankers i have to deal with myself everyday. Atleast they've generally been phased out of BL though.
 
I chose my name because the first rehab i ever went to we had to come up with a word ghat had the first letter of a first name so everyone could remember our name easier when we all went around the room amd each person would have to go around the room amd name off everyone elses name with cooresponding prefixed word.

I was jonesin' J--.. they didnt like me saying thay and made me switch it to something gay like joyful j---, but fuck that i knew whqt my name was meant to be lol.

Hey swarm your right but slowly more people are waking up to the world. I had a older profile then this 1 but I only came on here to read about the newest MDMA pills I got.
