Why did I puke off of 10mg oxycodone?

Every few weeks I'll take a percocet10 for fun, and out of the 5+ times I've done this, I've never puked off of it until last night. Threw up about 10 times and dry heaved three more.

Maybe you were slightly ill? Get some antihistamines, always good for taking care of opi nausea

Hmm no idea. Did you take anything else with it? Did you do anything different (eg take it on an empty/full stomach)? Did the high feel the same as normal?

Could just be coincidental, could be that it disagreed with something you had eaten that day, could be that it was just random and there is no explanation...

I puked the first time I took percocet, but have never had a problem since then. If you have no tolerance 10 mg of oxycodone is a lot. Try taking it on a full stomach and see how it affects you. Some people seem to be more sensitive to the nausea thing than others.

Food is a big issue for opiates. Had you eaten? Did you drink or take anything else? Supposig you did not. Then, be happy you puked. Usually after vomiting you feel wonderful. Was it the catalyst that set it in motionor did it end your night? If you can get high on 10mg of oxy you are very fortunate and it's normal. I wouldn't worry too much. How do you feel now?

also, keep in mind that an opiate naive user should not push the envelope. In fact try less next time and see if you feel high. If so stick to that dosage. It only gets worse mate....much much worse

Regardless of how naive the user is, i experience awkward fluctuations of nauseousness in-between opiate binges. Sometimes it takes up to a dozen not so fun experience before opiates feel truly euphoric again.

I used to get intermittantly v nauseated when I first started taking opioids actually, seemed pretty random and didn't last for more than my first 10 or 20 times.. so it could be that. But it could be many things. See how you go next time, being careful not to mix it with anything and don't take it on a completely empty (or completely full!) stomach (both can cause nausea - full stomach is much worse for me, empty works perfectly, but people vary with this)

Antihistamines can help nausea but if you continue to throw up when you take it in the future then something's not right - too high a dose, bad combination, stomach too empty/full etc..

hmm weird sometimes i get nauseous on that but never thrown up. i always make sure to be COLD* and have a cold drink of like sprite with ice.. and that i can be in a dark place. Worst experience i had 30 mg of oxy in a car ride ugh huge head ache and friend wouldn't let me roll window down to get air... almost puked up a storm.

Perhaps your body was not still enough, if you lie down almost all opiate nausea goes away.

It happens to the best of us... it beats puking from being sick.
