why do you feel so awfuly cold each time u quit opiates ? what causes it, any specific organ in the body ?

I'd like the know the answer to this, also.

When I quit c/t last year, one of the surest signs for me that I was getting past the worst of the physical w/d was when I visited a hospital and a grocery store one afternoon, and did not even need the jacket I had brought with me. My body was obviously beginning to be able to regulate its own temperature again.

I am off to look this up on Teh Googlez...

well fever and flu-lke symptoms are similar to withdrawals. usually in the case of fever, your body is so heated that it feels cold, and it's usually a rebound symptom. like cold sweats, feeling really hot but yet cold. it's the same with fever.

uh again i was curious what causes it. like is it some malfunction of a specific organ in the body or few of them or wtf is the scientific cause of the flu like cold sweats from withdrawl !

I know for me I get cold shivers when I'm anxious or nervous. I dont use opiates; just weed, alcohol, mushies, and dmt. I notice it sometimes when I wake up and its cold - sometimes its so bone chilling the only way to relieve it is to climb into the shower with the hot water running.
