Like 120mg only for a 1st plateau trip. I love smoking weed and doing a 1st plateau dxm trip cause its just so much better. Since i smoke daily id love to start combinng them both daily if i could..
Can anyone actually give me some proof and examples about the negatives of thr constant use of dxm on low doses such as i mentioned.

Over time it will rewire your personality, with significant risk of narcissistic/egomaniacal/solipsistic tendencies. You will also develop a tolerance, and eventually lose the magic.

I love - love - DXM, but it really is not appropriate for daily/extended/chronic use. Ditto for other NMDA antagonists like ketamine & PCP.

It's not a good idea to use any drug every day. I personaly don't think even using pot everyday is wise. I find it much more enjoyable once or twice a week, the high is better and it doesn't effect the rest of your life. DXM is on my once every two months list which includes everything apart from booze and weed. The once every two months list is quite long though... :)

I'm taking around 30-60mg daily. 60 is where the magic is, I feel it working socially and mentally. I can tell because I feel poisoned, but social. Its mainly for Adderall tolerance, although I can see where this would come in handy in other situations. I might just give up drinking and benzos to be with DXM. Party benzos don't really feel that great anyways.

I don't think taking anything that affects the serotonin system to a considerable degree daily is a good idea in the long run, unless you have a medical reason to do so. The same holds true for NMDA antagonists.

Daily drug use of anything frankly isn't good. Daily use of DXM can alter your personality and even cause organ damage. Wait a two week minimum before dexxing again.

While this may not be the case for some just ask yourself this simple question: "Is it worth possible brain/organ damage to get high?"

As for evidence I'm sure a simple google search will yield results.

The DXM FAQ has several pages' of info on the risks of chronic use. Brain, liver and kidney damage are all serious risks of excessive use. DXM is relatively safe in moderation, but it can be *very* dangerous when abused.

Have you ever tried taking it in a long streak or without many breaks in between? I have taken it approximately 30 days in a 2 month period and towards the end it would barely even get me high and all of the music euphoria was gone. I had to stop taking it for a month and even then the trip was not as great as it used to be. Don't abuse a beautiful thing because when it's gone it sucks.

I actually tried this a few years ago to help with my amphetamine tolerance when I was prescribed to them. I took like 30 mgs in the morning and by the third morning the dxm had been like building up and when I smoked I actually started robo tripping. It was way more than just an enhancement to weed, and it was definitely not a good thing.

I also dont think it did anything for my amp tolerance either.

Okay in a nutshell you cannot take the same amount of a drug on a daily basis for extended periods of time and expect it to have the same effect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_tolerance

You must also consider the stress and potential results of placing a drug in your brain daily for extended amounts of time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurotoxicity

120mg isn't exactly a low dose when speaking of daily use, and the usual partner of drug tolerance is a rebound kind of withdrawal symptom. Due to some of the actions exerted by dxm on the brain, it's not a stretch to claim this drug may be physically addictive, in much the same way opiates(morphine like drugs) are.

So, what you're asking isn't realistic or responsible. Infact the very post you've made highlights your general naivety when it comes to physiology and it's interaction with drugs and what have you.

I really do demand that you spend extended amounts of time educating yourself on dxm and dissociatives in general. Use google and learn as much as you can, please do not start dosing dxm daily.

Remember knowledge really is power, so be smart, don't rely on others to warn you, dont just give your mates the benefit of the doubt when they claim facts about drugs to you, always come and educate yourself mate, i cannot stress this enough, you don't want to be looking back in retrospect in a years time regretting the damage caused to yourself simply because you didn't realise what your experimenting was actually doing at the time.

Remember bro it's your own responsibility to protect that very important lump of cells inbetween your ears, it's the greatest thing you will ever own, don't take it for granted, your brain's a terrible thing to waste. USE IT! :) Because if you fuck up, you will only have yourself to blame and it will be a very depressing realization a gurantee you.

DXM helps my tolerance greatly.

I never thought of it as a hard drug. But its harder than some of the other shit I do. I can see it replacing alcohol for me since I rarely do that anyways, and it seems to simulate the effects.

Drug sensitization can also occur, but it isn't common, and as far as I can tell doesn't really happen with most drugs, or anything really.

Once a week maybe... I don't know 30-60 doesn't seem like a lot, but its stupid to chance it. Its not worth the high at all.

dxm stacks with daily use u gain a tolerance from spacing it out if you take it same time everyday you build up more and more in your bloodstream. if you dont think so try it ive been on so many dxm binges. i have to stop when it gets too intense otherwise i get delerious and black out after 2-3 weeks in a row nonstop. i only get tolerance from skipping days. as for being bad for you trust me it is. anything from ulcers to brain damage ive seen this first hand with a couple people who quit doin drugs forever. me im kinda a perma fry so cant tell u how it affects meother than make me socaible. also my standard dose is about 600mg -800mg

DXM use can cause SSRI discontinuation syndrome

I've used 30 mg twice a day to put off brain zaps previously. The reason it works is because DXM is an serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Read up on SSRI discontinuation syndrome.

So it works because by taking a serotonin reuptake inhibitor like DXM I'm discontinuing my discontinuation syndrome. However, I don't use prescribed SSRIs. I get brain zaps (one of the central symptoms of the discontinuation syndrome) after using serotonin releasers or even after using DXM for like three days in a row. Eventually I just have to bite the bullet and deal with the zaps for about four days before they go away naturally. At first I found I could take a big dose of DXM and stop them seemingly permanently, but now it seems every time I take any amount of DXM to stop the zaps it simply resets the cycle of zaps (and I have to go four days on nothing until shit balances out naturally).

So by taking DXM daily your putting yourself at all the same risks that SSRI users are put into (and maybe more). Read around, many people seriously regret ever taking SSRIs, even to treat legit problems. Their zaps after discontinuation last weeks, months, or even years (they are genuinely disabled and living a nightmare -- they can't move their eyes without feeling minor seizures) because they used things like Cymbalta or Paxil for years and it takes extra long for things to straighten out for them biochemically.

So true it makes me want to weep.

I tried to do the daily dose of DXM and it sucked so bad. At first, it gave me a boost. Then it ended up making me feel depressed in the most bizarre way. DXM induced depression is just... fucked.

Also, binging on DXM is just no good. Being used to any amount of enhancement/euphoria or distorted thinking is just no good. You get depressed and need the drug to function (the worst kind of addiction) or you change in ways that you're unaware of.

Best to use DXM as a special psychological treat every once in a while. Alone or in combination with weed (or compatible drug of choice) That way you'll appreciate its effects every time since you're not doing it frequently, and you'll be able to keep your reality and your usage in check when sober.

Do note that you still run a chance of lapsing into a binge. Months of discipline can be ruined by a single mistake.

Yes, its so true. This happens for me before the month is up though. :)

I will just use it on the weekends. It is like drinking to me, except it makes me feel poisoned and more social.

I extremely advise against daily dosing of dxm..nothing good will come out of it in the long term, you can do some serious damage (potentially irreversible) to your brain chemistry, even in low doses. There are many other safer substances you can take to make your cannabis high more enjoyable, such as piracetam/aniracetam, 5-htp, and valium (but benzos are of course addictive)..but the list goes on. You can also take a nasal spray of vasopressin to suppress the short-term memory impairment associated with pot use. In my experience, taking adaptogens (such as ginseng) and healthy herbs + nice b-vitamin complexes have made my cannabis highs more enjoyable.
