I have been taking Oxycodone daily for almost 4 years; 30mg IR, about 8 per day but could push 10-12 on really bad days. For the past 2 years I has strictly been snorting them 30mg at a time usually every 2-3 hours. Now like I said, I strictly snorts all of his oxy. Every once in a while (every few months or so) I decide to try and take it orally just to see the effects. I read that when taken orally it has a higher bio-availability. I get a decent buzz off snorting one 30mg. When I do decide to try and give the oral route a chance he is ALWAYS disappointed. I can take 3 or 4 pills (90-120mg) in one shot and NOT FEEL A THING. How can this be possible? I do not understand why I can catch a buzz off of snorting one 30mg pill (even though the buzz is very vague) but feel NOTHING when tripling or quadrupling the dose orally. Its an absolute complete waste to me to take oxycodone orally. Everyone is always saying the buzz lasts longer and feels better when taking orally but I just don't experience that. I just don't see a point of attempting to swallow 200+mg in one sitting to see if that works when I could just snort one or two and be good. I know I have a heavy tolerance, but I mean c'mon, I think this is a little ridiculous.
