I took 1.5 mg of xanex about a little over an hour ago and still can't sleep. Im still seeing faint waves and i still have a really weird vibe from the "friend" i was tripping with and i feel really bad for bringing my sober friend to hangout with us cause i can tell he was kinda taken back by how fucked up i was and i guess he seemed a little uncomfortable
 
LSD is a stimulating compound and I can't sleep either 10 hours after taking it. Maybe 12-14 hours after taking it depending on the dose.
 
Yep, don't worry. Very normal. Keep you up for 12 + hours, even on a low dose. It is very interesting tripping with friends - can bring up a range of strange emotions etc. Just chill, all will be well :)
 
This is stuff you should probably have read up on before dropping L maybe?

LSD typically lasts for 12 hours, not 10. I'm typically unable to sleep even 17 hours later and I'll still be getting mild residual effects like faint closed-eye visuals and a glowing quality to all my surroundings. Don't worry about it, just plan your future trips anticipating you won't get to sleep until almost a full day from the moment the tab hits your tongue. This is the case even for threshold doses.
 
I wonder if LSD's stimulating properties are just as helpful for calming those with ADHD as other stimulants?

I can sleep just fine on cocaine and amphetamines. Hell I'll occasionally take a small bump of cocaine to help me sleep when I'm really worn out tired because the slight euphoria makes it very easy to relax...

On high doses of LSD, I'll usually take a nap at the 4 or 5 hour mark for an hour, and then around the 10 to 12 hour mark I'm starting to get sleepy again.

Waking up tripping is a very interesting and awesome way to wake up.

*groggily rubs eyes, opens them* "ooooh tracers! Yep, still tripping, awesome" *big content grin*
 
I envy those of you who fall asleep easily. Even 6-7 hours after taking mushrooms I find it difficult to sleep. Tripping is simply too mentally stimulating for me, regardless of the "physical symptoms" of stimulants.
 
Like others have said, it can take me upwards of 20 hours after dosing LSD to be able to fall asleep. But I am a very light sleeper and somewhat of an insomniac.

LSD's primary effects last a good 12 hours or more depending on the dose. Even though the peak may only last around 6 hours, you will still be tripping and feeling energy in your body enough to make it difficult to sleep for another 8 to 12 hours.

People who can supposedly sleep on LSD are far from the norm.

I cannot sleep even after 12 hours of taking LSD because I still have CEVs that are too vivid and distracting to fall asleep. LSD for me almost always means an all-nighter.
