Why Can I Think So Clearly On Cocaine And Can I Visit A Doctor For Help?

My question is why can I think so clearly on cocaine but when im off it its like I don't care about it anymore.Its like when im on it I know what my priority's are and its like I think so clear but when im off it I don't give a crap anymore..


My second questions is, can I go to a doctor and tell them about my addiction is there anything they can do or prescribe? or are they just going to tell me about rehab.? I want help but I cant do rehab because my job I work Monday-sunday 15-18 hour days up in the oil field.. Should I try the doctor or would it just be a waste of time?

The troubling part is when you say without the coke you don't give a crap. You could be getting addicted. It's hard to say how your doctor will react if you're truthful with him. Being that you work a demanding job, he may be receptive to prescribing you some type of stimulant.

I would doubt a doc would give stimulants to someone after saying they are addicted to coke

I had a conversation with a psychiatrist once to get help for ADHD that went something like this:

"Have you ever used cocaine?"
"Once or Twice"
"Did it help?"
"Maybe, but it took a lot to get me high"

And he prescribed me a stimulant.

You might be better off making a time to see a psychologist rather than a doctor. My experience is that doctors can't really give you anything helpful and you are just replacing one drug with another. You would be better off in my opinion talking through things with someone and identifying what is going on for you to be in this situation.

Most people who have underlying ADHD/ADD are going to have similiar effects on cocaine as those who take adderall, concerta, etc.

You understand the risk with long term cocaine use, right? You're begging for a heart attack if you mix cocaine with stimulants.
