why are some people able to go on infinite benders and how can you improve your ability to withstand long benders

I just stumbled upon a video of Seth Troxler flexing how back in the day he could go on extreme infinite benders. I also know that a lot of the but DJs are notorious for their ability to just party infinitely, like Ricardo Villalobos who’s in his 50s now and still stays up at afters for days and has been doing so pretty much full time for many many years now.

I have a friend like that - back in the day, we would party together and he seemed to never get comedowns even though he was doing infinite drugs all the time. I tried to keep up with him once for six months and I was so completely and utterly destroyed halfway through it and by the end of it, i stopped because my comedown was Monday to Friday (when i stopped my comedown lasted for three months in which i was not able to feel any joy about anything - this was after six months of a few grams of speed, a g or two of md and cocaine every weekend friday to Monday night).

I took a long break from all stims for about six years and recently got back to doing them. I thought i would have recovered that magical gratis period where you do huge amounts with minimal comedown, but instead i seem to be more or less back to where i left off- i think some of my comedowns after relatively moderate benders have actually been quite surprisingly bad, not sure if I’ve simply lost training (talking 0,7 md over two days and i felt like hell for three days after, i was so irritable / and another 2g if speed and 0,3mdma bender over two days that left me propper irritable and miserable for a few days after).

Is it possible to get back to my previous form? I’ve never been much of an addict - moreso someone that occasionally goes through periods of really heavy partying before going through a period of very chill living and minimal drug use.

If i do enough yoga and healthy living, will it improve my ability to do long benders unaffected? I know it’s not very harm reduction, but i just enjoy something about the occasional crazy bender and like to keep that skill.

Also, in your opinion, why is it that some people can go on huge benders with no comedown while others get pretty rekt pretty fast?

In addition to what @jasperkent said, I think it should be noted that the dopamine receptors that you once had may be no longer due to neurotoxicity. This doesn't come back, and the reason some people are able to get away with it longer is in fact largely genetic.

I know people like this too, and I was like this in highschool. Not sure what changed but now I can't binge like I used to unless it's opioids. Maybe like what Shulginsreincarnation said its a receptor thing, maybe in highschool I fucked my receptors so bad that I can't binge like I used to. Maybe it's just age. Who knows

what's weird too is that some people can deal with certain drugs well, and then they will get wrecked from another.. doesn't happen all the time, but everyone is pretty different... like some drugs affect my mental health a lot more than others, like i have schizophrenia and i'd be able to use stimulants for days with out hearing voices (which even some non schizo people get) but as soon as i took a psychedelic i'd get voices... on a different note, i also get some pretty strong alcohol withdrawls with out having to use a lot, but i can handle benzos pretty well.

drinking the appropriate amouint of water, and sleeping like another poster said will also help with being able to use longer with out running into problems

That's not too unexpected to hear from someone with schizophrenia to be honest. The abnormalities in brain function seen in schizophrenia definitely explain the way you react to those drugs in a manner different than those with "normal" brain function. Schizophrenia is quite an interesting mental illness to be honest; I've met a few people in my life who have had the diagnosis including my Aunt. The way the schizophrenic brain handles drugs is equally as unique, but also there are always going to be individual variables in biochemistry too.

Sometimes I wonder why I was able to consume massive amounts of 25i-nBome while maintaining composure (I fucking drove on a 10mg dose for example, and vividly recollect my buddy at the time asking me in a terrified way how I was able to even drive in my condition. I just looked at him tripping balls and said, "I have tolerance man..." and kept merging onto the highway. Definitely a lot safer than when I drove drunk let me tell you, but I also had a massive tolerance to it at certain points in my life as well...) Then I remember, its individual biochemistry, and the fact that I have been consuming 5HT2A receptor agonists in massive quantities since I was 11 years old so I have what's known as behavioral tolerance as well as cognitive/psychological tolerance. Kind of like the rumored "50 trip limit" that DXM has (which is BS in my experience lol)
