Why are OC 80s so significantly larger than 40s?

Here in the UK were lucky enough to not have suffered the OP crisis.

However what I've noticed is this: 20s and 40s are the same size, an an 80 is around 3x the size. Does this mean the most easy to break down to parachute are 40s?

I'm not sure if it makes much difference, but it could.

It also bothers me as it hen seem as if 80s are filled with more binders and crap.

Cheers all

That's what Was gonna say. More binders and fillers but I'm not sure cuz I haven't had a 40 since they were oc and the only 80s I've had we're OP.

Maybe it could be more filler cuz there the most abused out of them idk just speculating

You guys never got OP? Lucky fucks

What is 'OP' in this context.

I was wondering the same thing actually. The 20s and 40s are the same. Got started on 40mg BD, later upped to 60 BD. Things were the same size.
Just recently, since 60mg of oxy wasn't coming even close to helping stabilize the chronic pain I've been having in my hip and knee, my doc switched me to the 80s. These are huge great green fuckers, with obviously a ton more binders in them, which makes them a nuisance when one likes to IV., needing pre-filtering through a fag cotton before that solution gets run through the micron filter.

I mean the new formulated OP oxycontins.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense tbh. Why do there need to be so many more fillers in the 80s? If you're an IV user id stick to using 40s. Even two of them have less mass and density than 80s.

I understand the whole most abused tablets of the bunch, but how is that meant to deter abuse?

Because the pharm companies want to make them that big. Usually the increase pill size correlates with the potency increase
Like 80 is a higher dose than 40 and it is twice as large.

This really isn't a harm reduction question though unless you unusually small trachea

i don't know what the case is with OPs and overseas, but OC/ABG 80s were exactly twice the size of 40s. i think. can i get another american to second that?

We don't have OP in Aus either...yet, I guess! I just checked & a 40mg weighs exactly half an 80mg and I'm pretty sure outs are the same as UK? Wonder why yours are so much larger?

I wouldn't be surprised if it is a factory 'productivity' aspect causing them to be exactly twice the weight and size (I have noticed this in the past when weighing fake OC80's that were just some subtype of fentanyl or fentanyl itself, they were way too light but equivalently dosed)

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the same formula of mixing for the 40's and 80's but just double up the amount used for the 80's I have very little knowledge of how these pills are actually produced but I know that simple pressed pills like ecstasy or valium would be mixed, with colour, then pressed according to weight of binder/filler/active ingredient ratios. I wouldn't be to surprised if the people making our oxy's had a similar process.

Don't count your chickens!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but OP's have made it over to our shores (United Kingdom) and im sure they are here to stay, so stock up on your OC's now while you can. ;)

This is not a hoax.

Is Aus getting them? I don't think they have approval yet but tbh I haven't checked lately.

^not as far as i'm aware. my doctor hasn't mentioned anything to me as i'm sorta considering swapping back to oxycontin. i'm currently on mscontins (morphine). i'm glad they haven't made their way here.

Thanks, im just about to ask my doc if I can do the opposite, oxy has killed my sleep patterns. Did mscontin work for you? Sorrry to OP for taking over.

i've been on morphine before switching to oxy for a few years, now back to morphine. i suffer from insomnia, just a terrible sleeping patter/habit as it is so i use diazrpam (scripted) to help out. morphine does make me a lot more docile and sleep a lot easier, though. for the most part anyway.

morphine is great for my chronic pain. but so is oxy. i just like to switch it up every now and then for a change and to avoid too much tolerance issues with whatever opiate/oid i'm on at the current time.
