Why are drugs good?

Welll lots of people who are ill or have mental disorders im sure could tell you countless reasons

But i do not have a mental disorder and im not ill

they have been nothing but good for me because they allow me to escape my mind (worries, anxiety, stresses all that good stuff) and just zone out or sometimes they allow me to explore my mind.

And they feel good and i have continued to keep my use to occasional.

This may be Drug Culture material, but I'll give it a shot.

Drugs make people feel good
Drugs make people feel normal (this is the case for more people than you would think)
Kids in high school drink bottles of cough syrup because they think it makes them look cool.

I could go on

Drugs need love too :D

they are here to serve a purpose, not to be abandoned like they are unworthy of your high holy ways!

people have been drinking alcohol for thousands of years responsibly. why should vicodin, kratom, weed, cigarettes, etc be excluded from responsible use too?

i think dryugs give, but they also take back. i reckon, overall, they take back more than they give...just a little bit.

Drugs are pleasurable.

Pleasure is as close as you come to buying happiness.

People want to be happy.

Drugs can be good & bad as we all know. Drugs for many of us is the escape we need from daily stresses which is a good thing. If we didnt have drugs to escape, I wonder how many of us would have had nervous breakdowns or just have gone crazy on our own w/o the use of drugs. Bottom line is drugs can be very helpful.

Drugs can be used as spiritual tools and medicines to treat physical and mental health disorders of all kinds. It all depends on what the user wants to gain from the experience. There are all kinds of studies showing the positive effects of medical marijuana, MDMA for PTSD, psychedelics for end-of-life anxiety and countless others, but you have to dig for it. The Powers That Be shape our ideas about drugs with one-sided propaganda that exaggerates the risks and downplays the benefits, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

Stimulants are good. they motivate you and help you get stuff done and they also treat ADD/ADHD. the only bad thing about them is that they make you feel bad when you come down, and you want more, and you end up doing things you wouldn't normally do to get them, because your craving it and your broke from spending all your money on it. We could have such a productive society if we made D-amp otc for cheap, because then people would be more happy, social, productive, and efficient, if they choose too ingest it. It might also be good some week benzos were otc but then people would overdo it and stumble around in public urinating all over the place. but hey, people already do that with alcohol! so why not?

but yeah all of this is mostly wishful one-sided thinking. there's obviously alot of reasons, good ones too, why these stuff arent otc, such as malnutrition, dependence, amphetamine psychosis... But most of these could be fixed if they limited how many you could purchase a day or week.

idk i just really wish that most prescription drugs didn't need prescriptions lol.
