I couldn't fit my whole title in the box lol, But The question as above is "Why are amphetamines so harsh in all aspects even when used recreationally as in comparison to other drugs that I have tried which include ugh hmmmph Meth, LSD, Shrooms, Heroin, Cocaine, Crack, Marijuana, valiums/xanax/ativan/klonopin/temezapam, oxycodone/codeine/vicodin/norcos/morphine, ecstasy, ketamine, ghb, mollies, dxm, 2cb. Those are most of the drugs that I can remember pretty easily, and for each one of the drugs I have mentioned their are some that I have done more then some listed up there. And for your information, I haven't ever had any addiction or heavy abuse problems with any drugs and the only reason I feel that it is necessary to mention is because I don't want someone to think or assume that my brain is severely changed or altered that could be causing this.
Theirs no way I can explain this thread even though I really am, It is just real hard for me to comprehend as to why trying after trying almost all drugs especially the "main ones" or "hard ones", that amphetamines give me the biggest issue even when it is recreationally used with no tolerance etc like all other drugs I mentioned above. I can write and rant on a few pages on this but it might get a little off topic and for some users not to be worth it to read it all. So to cut it short, I have tried all sorts of "amphetamines", I have tried meth on occassions, obtained my first adderall script of 20mg IR 2x a day (which I stopped taking as prescribed and only did once or twice a week due to some serious negative effects), I was gonna get adderall XR but even with the best insurance they are charging a looooot of money for the medication so that wasn't a possibility. After doing extensive research I came to the conclusion of bringing up trying either Dexedrine or Vyvanse to my psychiatrist. I went ahead and proceeded to want to try the vyvanse in the end because even though I read more appealing things about dexedrine it still has the same/similar duration as adderall IR (which was so short with terrible feelings for hours after the few hours of good feelings wore off), and i figured that if the cost of Adderall XR was sooooo high, then it is the same or close for the dexedrine XR as i refuse to take "IR" meds anymore.
But after a small number of experiments with the vyvanse I was prescribed a few weeks ago, I have learned a lot of the medication etc. Yes it's not as euphoric nor speedy and is a lot more subtle, and yes it lasts longer (but still not a solid 8-10hrs) and the "comedown"/"crash", negative side effects are a lot less than with adderall and or meth. HOWEVER amphetamines are the ONLY kind of drug that produces pretty severe negative side effects when it wears off. People always and some on here on Bluelight often are usually talking about the pain/dangers/negative side effects of Opiates/heroin, and even worse benzos and alcohol. I have been around a few different type of actual addicts and have seen first hand that the meth addicts were the worst ones and most destroyed by the drug. To get to the point amphetamines too me are more euphoric to me then many other drugs HOWEVER, just as amazing as they can make you feel, anytime the high wears off it leaves me EXTREMELY depressed along with common side effects known for it to produce which include things like no appetite, extremely dry mouth/nasty taste, Very oily skin when im on it (skin almost looks darker which i hate, and i do eat before and drink a decent amount of water), extreme lack of motivation, focusing on something that makes me worried/anxious/depressed and being able to talk or think about for literally hours, body aches etc etc.
Although I do agree that yes Opiates/benzos/alcohol and maybe a few other drugs are able to produce MUCH worse symptoms and sometimes deadly, as in comparison to amphetamines. However as someone who has never been addicted to those drugs, I have never experienced anything like I do when amphetamines wear off. The worst I can compare is a real bad hangover/alcohol poisoning because that is very very painful and something most people have experienced atleast once if not much more. But other than that, yeah I have thrown up a few times doing oxy's (nausea too high dose) and had a few severe freak out trips on shrooms that resulted in serious trouble. But seriously nowone ever mentions or maybe I don't see it, about the comedown associated with amphetamines. The more addicting drugs, do not even leave me feeling like shit the next day except maybe sometimes alcohol but that's it. From the top of my head right now I can clearly remember spending time around more then a few meth addicts, a few cocaine addicts, a few opiate addicts, and a few alcoholics. Amongst all of the following as I have seen meth/prescription amphetamines take a toll on a person the most atleast from it appears. Not only did the amphetamine users I have been around look real wrecked (scars from what i hear is from "picking bugs"), extremely extremely violent behavior, paranoia, lack of sympathy/empathy, rage and rants, stealing, being real two faced etc not too mention usually a bad appearance as well.
On the other hand all the other types of various addicts/recreational users I have been around that I mentioned, didn't display nearly as much negative side effects as did the amphetamine users. After learning that usually opiate and definitely even worse alcohol use can be a lot worse physically, emotionally, mentally etc. However the person I knew who was an alcoholic was a daily drinker from morning to night yet still functional enough to keep an average job, and never once complained about a single side effect (neither did most of the other users of other drugs). They mostly kept their sanity to a tolerable level and If I didn't know the ones who were doing other drugs than the ones who were using amps, I wouldn't be able to even tell if they were even an ADDICT. The worst I have seen is some crying and a little irritablity from the alcoholic one, and nothing but with the ones addicted to opiates/cocaine/pills. I understand that basicially the saying seems to go "Amphetamines are a walk in the park in comparison to the other drugs". Well if it really is not that or dangerous, than why is their such a HUGE NOTICABLE shit feeling that usually starts when the amphetamine wears off regardless of the fact that you are not even addicted to it, or are taking it your first time??? I have learned many ways to try and counter the "crash" and "comedowns" for the few times I decide to take my medication, but ultimately even after my prescribed xanax, green tea, magnesium, omega 3, moderate exercise that I can never erase that depression feeling? Yes I already do suffer with pretty bad depression and yes their are a lot of things in my life that make me worry/anxious but still does anyone else here use some sort of amphetamine, RECREATIONALLY and also have the same problem/side effects when they do (or when it wears off)???
----Any real effective tips would be appreciated, preferably that don't involve taking more drugs to counteract, and eating/sleeping/staying hydrated is all stuff I already know. Thanks I hope to receive some replies soon as my comedown is unfortunately starting, even though I made this thread long and nowone will probably wanna read it. Thanks.
