Why am I so sleepy after taking my normal dose of percocet?? (not normal!)

So, lets see if this is a better place to post this. I take like 8-9 10mg Percocet a day. never makes me feel tired unless I take a lot a lot, I have a high tolerance. Im female, 23 260lbs. Pretty heavy girl! lol. but anyway my question is the past couple days after I take my normal dose of 20mg-25mg I get so tired I can not stay awake. See this dose makes me high but is not a high dose for me, I don't like to nod cause I like to be functional while high, I just like to feel good. But lately that is not the case when taking this dose. Like I stated I can hardly keep my eyes open and when I sleep Its not hard to wake me up but if I wake up I don't feel good, I have a head ache. even after the pills wear off I still have an off feeling like I feel down. this is pretty normal I go through withdrawals but the feeling really tired after my normal dose which doesn't usually make me so tired has been and it makes me not even want to take em because of this. I have stuff to do during the day and lately I cant take as much as I use to because of this. Any ideas????

If u smoke weed thats why. Also could be the weather. In the winter im always lazy. Or could be the brand name. How much you worked that week, really its too hard to tell.. Try getting a full nights rest, make sure u eat a small meal a little before u take them.. Good luck

Sounds pretty typical going from 90mg down to 25...its going to take a few days to adjust.

Try going down 15 - 20 mg a day, instead of 60 - 65 mg all at once. Should be alot easier to withdrawl.


also...over 3000 mg of acetaminophin daily is a hefty dose, probably not good.

I wonder too. I get that sleepiness issue once in a while. Notnall the time but like once or twice a week . I hate it... one eye gets very drowsy.lol. i just like the good feeling and be productive . Might be the diet i think .

We'll seeing as how a lot of people actually have trouble sleeping when they first start Percocet maybe your tolerance has gotten to the point where the nod is not there and instead when you relax you fall asleep. There is no medical backing to this answer more of personal experience backing. I used to take 4-6 oxycodone 30mg IR and would nod for hours now I take them feel relaxed and can fall asleep for the night minus the great nod ?
