Johnny Depp does an excellent job on acting out his roles. He really gets them down perfectly and makes them totally believable. Edward Norton is another one of my favorites..along with Vincent Gallo..everyone should see Buffalo 66! Christina Ricci is in it, another one of my favorites..Scarlet Johansen is good too...:)
 
after seeing lost in translation, both johannsen and bill murray (who probably should have been on my list already) have been added. sean penn is also unbelievably good in everything :)

from the older generation, i'd like to add marilyn monroe (who's actually a far better actress than i ever expected), and james stewart (who i may have already mentioned) to the frey.
 
I'm probably gonna get laughed at here, but I think David Caruso is excellent in CSI Miami, even though he does over-act a fair bit....

You mean actor, right ? Sorry to be anal but that looked a bit fruity.

Anyway, James Caan is a fine actor, although he hasn't been in enough good stuff. He seems to have bland patches in his movie list. My favourite is Misery, which would not be the popular choice. The character he plays is unusual for him - but that's why I liked him. He's often overlooked as Kathy Bates gave a screamer performance. Oh, and The Godfather - very good.

William Dafoe - love that guy. From Born of the 4th of July ("where are you going, taco-head!!!") to eXistenZ to Platoon to... most stuff he's in... he's a fine actor.

All others mentioned are great actors but for I dunnno man I like Affleck.
