Who, was the first person to encorage your drug use?

To answer this question...I received a prescription for Klonopin while I was in college (for social anxiety) along with Paxil. I was already a drinker and I learned that pills can positively influence my mood and feelings. Drugs weren't "bad". I took the Klonopin responsibly during college, maybe mixing it with alcohol so I wouldn't have to drink as much. Once I was out of college, I met a friend who had this grandmother who had all kinds of leftover pills from the death of her husband. My best friend offered me a 20mg OxyContin. I had no idea what it really was, but I nodded out in complete bliss for 10 hours straight, just from swallowing the motherfucker. My life was in chaos and this just felt so calm and peaceful. It was my escape. Then in denial, I literally self destructed by saying fuck the world, I wanna be high as much as I can within reason. Soon, I found out "within reason" doesn't really exist with opiates. 12 years later, I'm still addicted. Full circle, isn't it, original poster?

Honestly... just my own curiousity. I became interested in drugs and then decided to do some research on them. Never had any friends interested in them so it was all me. There really wasn't much encouragement besides like... just knowing that these drugs existed, and seeing them in the media all the time. Some of my friends rarely smoked weed and I guess that somewhat piqued my interest too, but they've never done anything outside of the occasonal blunt.

...pretty much, I was hoping you didn't say me...lol. But yeah, I never knew about the long-term mess that I would end up getting us both wound up in. If I could just go back and have that chance to change a few "wrong" decisions I made, boy I wonder where I would be today. Negative effects we have on others would be a whole diff. can of worms but I've obviously "done the undone" in this case, sorry.

my dad offered me weed as young as age 11
I never accepted it, not that I ever had anything against pot.
When I was 14 my best friend suggested we try smoking some. I agreed. I never got high but I've been interested in drugs ever since. All my friends were getting baked but I wasn't, so I started looking into hard drugs. Ever since then I haven't needed any encouraging.

Opening pandora's box, really. I can't say that I didn't enjoy much of those days (sadly), but I do regret a lot of things I've done throughout this process and all we can do is look forward. Of course, easier said than done.

Tried mushrooms and weed on my own, but it was my girlfriend who took me to my first rave and introduced me to E and LSD. These days I don't even smoke weed (anxiety issues with it), but the rest I've mastered.... nothing out there like real E...
