and dont you see
that we each make our own choices in life
and just because you loved her
didnt mean she couldnt make mistakes
it didnt mean she was incapable of doing wrong
it doesnt make her immune
special, yes
but arent we all special?
and you blame those around
pointing fingers
because you cant handle the truth
refuse to believe
that one you loved
could do such a thing
you may think that bad influences
are the ones to blame
however, being influenced might just be a glimpse
of unhappiness inside
of not being strong enough
to be yourself and be happy with that
and if you'd even communicate one bit
instead of trying to shelter and control
you'd see how unhappy and lonely she was
and if you'd just accept her for who she is
instead of telling her to do and be the things you never could
you might see
that like each one of us
we only need to be loved
not necessarily liked or agreed with
but we just need to be...
in the end we all have choices
do this try that
we surround ourselves with others like us
those who understand what we're going through
because all we need is someone to connect with
to make it worth it to hang on just a bit longer
just a connection
an understanding
to know that it matters if we live or die
and in the end
its all up to the one who lives the life
you cant blame her friends
or the places she goes
or the media or video games or newspapers
because there is nothing or no one to blame
because it all comes from inside
and the things we do,
we do because we choose to do them
and you will never know what she needs
because you refuse to try to understand
and all you can do
is point fingers
because maybe you're scared that you are to blame also.
but no one will ever know.
people are made up of every second they live
of every person they meet
its not this thing or that one
its everything
a whole compilation of moments
its a life
and its too complex for us to even attempt to understand
so please
just let them be.
