In the summer we have a huge amount of Jimson Weed growing all around my area. A few years back some really "intelligent" teens broke open the spikey pods of the Jimson Weed plant and each consumed an unknown quantity of the seeds. They were found several hours later wandering around town talking to invisible entities and basically acting like they had completely lost there shit....the police were notified about the teens odd behavior and called the paramedics...Now this part was on the news...while the police were waiting for the paramedics to arrive they video taped the teens behavior....the teens where passing around an invisible cig.....talking to family memebers? whome were not present and were basically in a psychotic state of mind.... Strange thing is the active psychoactive chemical in the seeds is something called "Atropine".....and they found some pills in europe which had high concentrations of atropine being sold as E.......very weird

Yeah, Datura seems to be a true delusional. Some of the trip reports for this plant are unbeleivable. People take it and don't remember at all they are on a drug. Many reports talk of nonexistant old school friends or family visiting.
Although I don't want to sound too casual about this stuff as a recreational substance. The behavior you described is rather typical datura tripping. You'll put phonebooks in the oven.. and shoes on your hands and all sorts of random stuff -- granted you have the coordination to move.
I might try it someday with somebody sober who could subdue me from injuring myself or someone else and that wouldnt mind the job. Maybe if I were on vacation and could take a week to let my eyes go back to normal.
Low dosages are said to inspire very interesting dreams.

That's a very ignorant comment, do a little bit of research. Most people that take high doses of daturua end up the hospital. Oh yea, very interesting. After you try this please make a trip report so I can laugh at you for being so stupid.

I kinda have to agree with Doctor Love, that trying Datura wouldn't be the wisest of choices. If you read just a little information on it.. just a little you might see how bad a decision it might be. If I recall correctly (it's been awhile since I read anything about it) it can kill you pretty easily, if not that It doesnt seem pretty hard to wind up with your ass in jail, or worse =\ Sounds like fun to me.... <--- sarcasm.

First, I moved this to psychedelics...
Now, yes, Datura will give you that type trip, in fact, what they describe is actually kinda tame - but it's really not as fun as they describe, often a Datura trip can even be fatal, most have violent and horrible trips, those that enjoy it are usually into the "self exploration" thing, not the giggles and glowsticks type high you expect from something like LSD ...
If you use a newspaper article as your only sourcs of info on a drug you wish to try, well, lord help us all please die or get arrested before you hurt someone else.. trust me, this is most likely one you're best off passing up!
