here in birmingham they mop the floors of the tower blocks in one area and not the other.
they sold a huge huge nice old buildings a few years back. they were offices for council workers and then moved the workers into rented accommodation.
every year they grow and plant geraniums and then pull them all out and leave them to die. to be fair though they would have died if they were left in. they always do aston park really nice. all the parks here are great. there is no dog poo. well hardly any and I don't remember seeing sprayed turds. I will think of some ridiculous wastes of money.
There was a school that was sending a load of teachers to spain or somewhere for teacher training asa it was cheaper than doing it here. (so they said, but we all know it's cheaper to go anywhere when it's not the school holidays. ) I will think of more.
there was an arts festival last year where you could get pulled along on one of those tracks they put film cameras on while looking at spaghetti junction from below. I felt just like her majesty getting pulled thru london in a gold horsedrawn carriage.
