I'm rather sure they make conscious decisions. (Don't even get me started on rogue waves and lightning lol)

Granted, I'm no theoretical physicist, but I stand by my opinion either way.

They can form from the ground up, or descend from a supercell.

The bigger ones sometimes do merge together and form an even bigger twister, with "baby" ones circling it. And those beasts love trailer parks for some reason.

See, yet another definition of "soul".
I don't argue that any of these definitions are wrong or incorrect; rather pointing out that how one defines what (a) soul is can affect the possibility/probability of it having a soul.

Having a definition might not be required, but having one enriches the conversation and allows for common ground and a fuller, richer discussion, IMHO.
 
I'm a naturalist by nature so I have constant dissonance between what I know to be reality and what the Bible says. It's like two totally different ways of looking at the world but I can only do one at a time. Otherwise I start making things up in order to reconcile the two, which doesn't make any sense, and gets me nowhere. So at present I'm still struggling and have absolutely no unified theory of anything.

My problem with saying that God is just kind of out there, or we just assign to God all the stuff beyond our knowledge, space, and time, is that sooner or later we will make a technological discovery and define in real tangible terms something we used to assign to God. So to me there's something flawed in using the term God in that way. It seems if we define God by what we don't know, rather than define God as a personification as presented in the Bible, the meaning of God is completely vague and doesn't transmit the substance of God as being central to morality and ethics in human affairs. So, yeah, two totally different things.

I would say yes. Like a sentience that lingers after life ends. Idk what happens after death though.
 
been thinkin on this a bit, so

i would define a "soul" as that which keeps us and other creatures "alive"; moving, thinking, communicating, experiencing etc along with emotions if one has any.

this bring me to something else
i have felt for the longest of times that every thing that "exists" is imbued or totally saturated with this "static" if you will. there is a flow of something and i wouldnt dare to try to define it.

so im kinda stuck on if rock and such have "soul". i believe it does but... idk. we are part of each other, so. gotta let it go for a sec

Im confident that if there is some unseen life force/Qi/soul that exists, eveything down to plants, fungus, bacteria, amoeba, etc have a teeny spark of it. I think the more powerful the consciousness, the more of it there is, so things like (some) humans, dogs, apes, dolphins, etc have more. But i find especially things like plants and fungus have an undeniable trace of passive spirit to them.
 
I think we have a soul, we countains billions of micro-organisms which got souls, and the universe would be just a quartz or an atom's core of an other living being, inimaginably big af

Maybe all of this is one soul with differents access
 
Gold in the human anatomy never stopped fascinating me as it has true minerals properties and a wonderful insight it provides to anecdotally changing its form and shape and processes.

Connection to the soul. Gold.

Why not? Seems harmless enough.
