Who else doesn't like the new pr?

I understand how much work has gone into it and congrats but I think you guys over did it. Personally I think you will find less and less people are going to be accessing the site. I myself don't like it at all. Your design is to elaborate, simplfy
 
check back in about a week spero, I believe the main problem people have with the current design is the way reports are displayed. We are currently developing more compact layout and this will be deployed in a day or two. Can you give specific comments on what you don't like and how you would prefer it? We are taking into consideration everyone's opinion.
 
Cowboy Mac I respect how you have kept your composure during this...I know this has to be a Rough time for all Involved at pillreports...but also believe that it is rough time for the people who visit the sight daily sometimes hourly..Hate breeds hate to show this there are basically to threads about this right now one in "ecstacy discussion"and this one.. the other one has got hateful because me and a few others acting on ruski's comments (which he is allowed to make) I do understand some people are just being ignorant but we do care what direction pill reports is going or we wouldnt even post..Ruski really is gettin all beat up about this and making statements that I wouldnt make if i was representing Pillreports/Enlighten..does pillreports/enlighten care that he makes these statements. I hope they do.I must add I have gotten warnings for less from Blulight Mods..
 
The only issue I have with it is that the new layout does not look nearly as professional as that before it dealing with the regional pages themselves. Meaning the pages that are scrolled down on to view the various types of pills in the area (the main/right hand bar). The menu is fine, the logo is awesome. But it doesnt feel like its as "serious" as it used to be, when you get to the actual pill report and listing. I think a simple fix of the resolution would make it feel better - the overall shrinking of the listings, so we can see 6 or more pills at once on the screen (as opposed to 3, in 1600x1200 resolution).

Not a big deal, just saying how I feel. Nice work on a new site & thanks for all the work for the community!!

With the new search functionality added its looking absolutely fabulous...now i just need to rally some motivation to get more people posting for auckland
 
Ive been looking on the new site, and do the reports actually give a rating like thye used to. ie, 7/10? The only ratings i could find was- mdxx high, med, low.
And is there going to be an addition to the current format that will allow the rating of pills like it used to be?
 
MDxx High = what used to be 8,9,10
MDxx Med = what used to be 5,6,7
MDxx Low = what used to be 2,3,4
Adulterated = what used to be 1
Bunk = what used to be 0

In essence nothing has changed. All we are doing is removing the endless "It was a total 9" "No, you dick it was such an 8.5!" BS discussion that would happen.

A strong pill is a strong pill, a weak one is a weak one. Everything else is just too subjective to be useful.
 
Only problem with it atm in the aussie section is morons posting useless reports that entail absolutely nothing. Other than that i like it...though i do remember enjoying the old one more...
 
The mood has seemed to have changed, there's still just as much bitching and the quality of reports is still fairly average - with the exception of a few decent reports every now and then. The fact that the reports are average is no reflection on the new pr - just the fact that the general public is too lazy or doesnt have access to the appropriate gear to write up decent reports.
As ChemMatey said, I seemed to like visiting the old PR better, I guess it had a more underground feel.
Thanks for the effort anyway enlighten crew, your intent is much appreciated.
 
When the server hardware is sorted we'll be rolling out the second, third and final phase of the site over the next two months. This will include a lot of behind the scenes code/tools that will increase the quality of reports in the long term. The site is still being developed and remains in beta currently.
 
oh boy, here we go again..i dont really care what it looks like....as long as the info is true.....maybe you could make it look just like it did before but add the new features....i dont care anymore it is there and it helps but some have abandoned it due to the lack of desire to learn anything new....
i think the new layout scares many....change scares alot of people.....
 
oh for fuck sake, we're not changing the layout but adding new features to increase quality of reports. we'll also be adding a barebones layout for all the sooks who dont like anything except 1998 grids.
 
I like the new pillreports. Great layout, I just wish there was more report data! I have tried to look up more then a few pills on here and could only identify one. Keep up the good work. I for one am quite impressed that someone is kind enough to run one of these sites for us, and for free!
 
I like it . The only thing I wish for is a "sounds Like" feature in the search engine. For those of us looking for a logo that was spelled incorrectly.
