My favorites have to be Gus Johnson and Al Michaels. Al just has that classic voice and is very well spoken, Gus has an orgasm any time something remotely interesting happens.

My least favorites would have to be Tony Siragusa, Troy Aikman, Phil Simms and Joe Buck. Especially Simms and Buck, they dont seem to even bring any real insight about what is happening. Half the time when they are commentating I just want to face-palm and scream YOU DONT SAY!

i agree with everything best friend just said.

oh...and i guess we're gonna have to listen to fucking Dicky V during the Final 4 this year. he almost cried about it during the OSU/Mich game last night.

dicky V is college basketball imo

he doesnt really announce games but he is usually doin something n i cant stand hearin him: charles barkley

i dont really like many sports casters but im neutral about alot

he's just annoying as fuck. i liked him when i was a kid. not so much anymore.

bobby knight is pretty horrible too. but he's bobby knight, so i love him.

no, Bob Costas is the fucking worst. then Joe Buck. then Aikman. I also can't understand a fucking word Shannon Sharpe says, but he's an 'analyst' not a sportscaster.

i understand a lot of people dislike him but i like chris collinsworth. i'm also a big fan of michelle beadle and colin cowherd, together on sportsnation.

Is she still doing that show? I saw her last week on one of those hollywood access reporter DGAF shows and it made me sad for her.

even though when my favorite teams are playing i practically blockout the broadcasters, i still have a massive list

is that an okay list?

I forgot about Trent Dilfer.

I fucking hate that douche lol. Sweet you won the Superbowl with the Ravens in 2000 with with one the best defenses ever in the NFL that created 5 turnovers in that Superbowl. And you you only threw for 153 passing yds. It's funny to see him on TV and he thinks he is on the same level as Steve Young

He has also never had a 3000 yd season ever in his career.

^^ yea, as a Bucs fan who watched that joke for years n years i wasnt necessarily excited to see him win a superbowl. he never really did much for us, n in all honesty didnt do much for baltimore but if you got a defense like that n your able to not give the game away sometimes things work out i guess

If you actually look at his stats they are fucking horrible. His best season was like 2900 passing yd with 21 touchdowns

I just feel like he tries to make himself sound like he was an amazing QB all the time on ESPN.

Overall career :

113 Touchdowns
129 Interceptions

The other night (forget which game) bill Walton threw out "simple twist of fate". He calling the UCLA/WA game tonight and I'm gonna watch it just to see how many dead references he makes.

Walton rattled off an entire dead setlist just before the half. I think he also came in his pants.

I have to be the only person in the world that likes Chris Collinsworth. He manages to stay relatively well informed compared to the rest of his peers, doesn't say much in the way of pure filler or bullshit pulled out of his ass (and those two categories are often interrelated, i.e. a color analyst feels he needs to say something so he makes up some little anecdote about a player and passes it off as fact).

That said, I don't think I have a favorite. I hate most of them. Collinsworth might actually win by default, simply by virtue of being meh.

edit: Oh shit, I was restricting myself to football for a moment. Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino, the Miami Heat analysts for local broadcasts, are the only guys in any sport I have ever actually enjoyed listening to. They are legitimately good at a position that is wall to wall crap.
