there are some epic athletes in the NBA. who are some of the most entertaining to watch?

mine are...

Dwight Howard - what a presence in the paint! wow. he is at times truly unstoppable and does a good job with bringing that momentum. his dunks are spectacular as well - I think he is the most dunking NBA player of the times. if he was only a little bit better at foul shots...

LeBron James - ya'll knew I would say this! but King James has it all - charisma, speed, and strength. he can bring it up the court as a point guard or he can post up in the paint. if only his shots were more consistent he could be the greatest of all time.

Kobe Bryant - as much as I hate to say, I really enjoy Kobe Bryant's killer instinct. you can count on him to score ten or so points in every fourth period of every basketball game.

who are some of yours?

Steve Nash - 'cause his dribbling, passing and shooting skills are ah-mazzing. Plus he sat next to me at the theater during The Darjeeling Limited.

LeBron James - 'cause he carries a team on his back but he's not cocky about it (not like that loser Kobe). And, he's from Akron, like meeeee. :)

A new addition to my favorites is Mo Williams. He's underestimated but good.

I'm a chick. None of this really needs to make a whole lot of sense to you boys. ;)

Mo Williams is great to watch! what a good acquisition by the Cavs. he was on some pretty bad teams his entire carreer, so it's nice to see him shine with a team that deserves to shine.

thanks for the contribution. it's always great to see from you :)

Nate Robinson

I am a Knicks fan so I am biased but this dude is all heart. About time we had a player on the Knicks who gives a shit. I hope they keep him and David Lee and put an all star and some role players around them.

Dwayne Wade: Well, I'm a Heat fan so it's kind of essential that I put him in here. But seriously, he is definitely a top 3 player in the league and the only reason he doesn't make Sportscenter's top 10 plays too often anymore is because he would have at least 5 of them every night he plays. Every dunk he makes is highlight worthy, the dude is the fastest, most athletic, and most acrobatic player in the league.

LeBron and Kobe are the others, but they will be done to death by the time this thread is finished.

im an aussie but follow the nba

dwight howard - what a machine. just being on the court makes most players hesitate before putting up a shot in the key. around the rim hes also impossible to stop. only needs to work on his post game a bit more.

kobe- so clutch. if the games on the line i want the ball in his hands. silky smooth moves and fakes. less of a power game compared to lebron, relies more on a variety of moves, fakes and perfect balance.

chris paul- one of the hardest players to stop on a fast break. seems to be able to create plays out of thin air and gets to the basket and finishes with amazing touch.

dirk- my fave player. 7 footer who can do it all. great passer and awesome shooter.

garnett- when hes hungry hes great to watch. post moves are awesome, great shot blocker and nice mid range game

yeah, Chris Paul is one of my most beloved point guards to watch in recent memory.

^ Chris Paul is just amazing to watch. He's a fucking magician.

Another player I like to watch, Kevin Durant. I'm still waiting for him to get onto to a winning team. He may not score the crazy points he's been scoring lately (he's had some insane scoring games in the past few months), but with more of a team around him he could do some serious damage. I guess that will probably be happening whenever he is done with his initial draft contract (I don't really know how that works), maybe a year or two more.

Durant in LA? Maybe. ;)

i'm a pacers homer so i like to watch danny granger.

or as my buddy calls him.... "granny danger"

Mark Madsen.

He's a 29 year old Stanford educated virgin (in the NBA of all places) who nobody even bothers to guard. When will we ever see such a thing again in our lifetimes?

1. He played during the Jordan era. Not too many opportunities to get a ring.

2. You call it dirty, I call it tough and physical.

^ To you are the Celtics dirty or tough and physical? (serious question)

Or "option C" for those in Boston, "the refs are against us."

To be honest, there's a fine line between being dirty and being physical. Often times, that line gets crossed.

You have to look it at on a play-by-play basis, I can't say a whole team plays dirty all the time.

That being said, no one has ever won a championship playing like a scared little girl. You gotta get in there and scrap. Intensity is the name of the game.

i fell in love watching dwight howard last season- we had season tickets.

i also love hedo!

but, dwight really is incredible to watch (despite last night's shitty showing against detroit!).

i like watching a lot, but just to name a few:

kobe bryant - im a laker fan and it never gets old watching him execute amazing plays. hes hands down the greatest scorer in the nba, and arguably the best player. any way you can think of scoring, kobe can do it.

lebron james - this guy just keeps getting better and better...its getting kinda scary. he was fun to watch when he first came into the nba, and now that he actually plays defense and has (kind of) developed a more consistent jump shot, its even more of a joy seeing him play. im praying for a cavs-lakers finals just so i can see a kobe vs lebron showdown.

kevin garnett - although i like him a little bit less now that hes on the celtics, ive always loved kg's game. hes batshit crazy, but always plays the game with passion and intensity, no matter the opponent or the score.
