White powder amphetamine??

I've been taking adderall for a few years now and I go through the same person most of the time..he's actually a family member so I've always trusted him and never had a problem. I met up with him today, we usually meet up every week or two, and this time he said he got them from a new guy and he gave him a bunch to sell on his own. Usually he doesn't directly sell them, he just has the connections and we go together to his guy. He said these ones were different but he tried them himself and they were really really good. I asked if they were just some kind of new generic and he said yeah. I've seen a lot of different generics from him for adderall and never had an issue with anything..and once in a while if it comes around I'll get vyvanse, Ritalin or concerta.

Since we do this a lot and I trust him most of the time I don't even look at the pills until later on when I get home. When he got out of the car he said him and his guy tested them and their definitely amphetamine..that was kind of strange to me that he would even say something about it especially when I didn't ask. So when I get home and look at the pills their like nothing I've ever seen. Half of them are in completely unmarked big purple capsules and the other half are actually real 30 mg extended release adderall capsules, but inside both kinds of capsules is a fine white powder..and they all have different amounts of powder in them. None of them were even half way full. I obviously knew right away this isn't adderall..I thought it was vyvanse because the last time I had a 30 mg vyvanse I remember it having a white powder like that. I figured his guy is just shady and takes some of the powder out of all the capsules he's sells and were getting some leftover shit he threw together. I just figured id take the loss and tell him to give me a few real adderall next time I saw him to make it up.

Since he said he took some and they defiantly seemed legit I didn't even think twice about taking one. They defiantly have a weird smell and taste..like really bitter or something. Not long after taking it I start to feel weird..I can't explain how but I knew from the feeling that it wasn't adderall. Over the next few hours I got higher and higher, almost to a scary point where I thought I would never come down. My heart was beating like crazy and I was grinding my teeth out of control. Eventually it got better but even now hours and hours later I'm still so wired I don't think I'll be able to sleep at all tonight. I take a lot of adderall and have no problem sleeping so this has to be something strong. I can tell it's not something fake and shitty like the powder from stacker diet pills of some over the counter bs. I've never done speed, meth or E so I'm wondering if it could be something like that.

I was looking into buying some kind of testing kit to see what's in it but I think you can only order them online. I was wondering if a home drug test could work? I'm stuck with them now and I have a lot. I think I might like the high if I take A LOT less..and anyways I'm really curious to find out what it is. I can't really get a straight answer from him. I know he has to know these pills aren't legit. They don't make don't prescription pills with no markings. I can see people putting something shitty and cheap like some stacker 3 or caffeine power in them to make some money.. But this stuff is strong and pretty good so I don't see why they would need to lie and pass it off as adderall to sell it. Is speed or meth much cheaper than adderall? Whatever it was is extremely strong because it was way less then half full and I feel like I took 10 30 mg adderall at once.

Also..obviously now I'm concerned about getting stuff through him again. Even if someone gave him these to sell like he said ;he has a lot of experience with all kinds of drugs..street and prescription. There's no way he saw them and thought they were adderall. He told me he took 2 and they worked great for him..I honestly think if I would have taken 2 I would have ended up in the ER.

It sucks because he's pretty much my only source..so I'm really thinking I should get some kind of testing kit for this stuff and for the future if I come across anything sketchy again. From what I can find on google the only way to do that would be to get a reagent kit. Do any head shops sell this or you can only buy online? Would it work for something like that or would amphetamine, speed and meth be in the same group? What if it was some synthetic shit like bath salts? (Just popped into my head, could it be that??) Would it be possible to test the powder with a home urine drug screen?

I take focalin xr to get high which is twice as potent as adderall but it gives the same feeling u just have to take less or it feels more intense. You said something about having extended release adderall which means you'd only get half the dose now and half later. Focalin is typically extended release and if you crush up the beads into a powder you get all of the dosage which would mean it's 4 times stronger than what UR used to. I'm not positive it's focalin but the way u described it sounds about right and focalin is very cheap so its likely.

I'm fairly positive it's focalin and in that case be careful not to od. Take half of what you usually take in adderall if u want to continue to use it because I think it's a better high it's really similar to coke.

Also if UR gonna take this do not take it anytime after 4 because it will keep u up all night. The hangovers not too bad but it's annoying

I've never heard of focalin.. I looked into it and like you said it's a white powder when the beads are crushed.. It has a lot of the same effects so it could have been that. I've seen the vyvanse as a white powder too but it was way to strong to be the vyvanse because it was such a small amount of power in the capsule I took. So if it was some other kind prescription ADD med it was probably the focalin.

Yeah I took it around 2 or 3 PM I think and didn't sleep until 5 am. I still feel the effects a little bit today and have a massive headache. I do have a fairly high tolerance to adderall so this had to be some really strong shit. Even with a test from what I understand meth, speed and prescription amphetamines will all show up the same so I'll probably never know. Now I'm wondering if it could have been something synthetic like the bath salts kind of shit too. It's a mysteryyyy..and it's going to drive me crazy.

It easily could have been any random research chemical, or any random prescription stimulant, or anything really. I understand your frustration but there really won't be any way to know. Unless you feel grilling a drug dealer with some questions, and they don't typically like a lot of questions.

The best you could do is get it tested at a lab (probably not feasible), the next best would be to get some reagent kits (marquis, etc.), that could provide some clues. Or not, if it is some random RC the reagent may be useless. If it's good stuff, just be grateful it wasn't bunk, and be very careful with dosing.
 
Probably a random research chemical cheaply bought over the internet and originating in China, possibly MDPV or who knows what. It's unlikely that it's meth, as selling meth as meth is quite easy already and profitable. It's definitely not Focalin. Focalin doesn't last that long. Home testing kits probably won't help you ID it much, either. Your best bet is to send one in to www.ecstasydata.org for testing, although they unfortunately charge a fee, I believe.
 
Yeah I thought about that after I typed the whole thing out and posted it. On my cell phone I don't really see how long it is until I post and see it all at once. I'll try to go back and edit it if it allows me to.


So after promising him I wouldn't be mad if he lied about what it was he admitted that he's pretty sure it's meth. I think he knows and knew from the beginning exactly what it was but knew I wouldn't want it if he told me the truth. I never really thought it was the dealer guy trying to pass it off as something else..because no one in their right mind would believe that stuff was adderall.

Ive never seen meth in my life, I don't even know anyone who's taken it. So I know nothing about it..with how strong it is it could last me a long time. I'm just wondering what's going to happen if I do a little every day for a few weeks. I've been taking adderall everyday for a long time and when I'm out I feel like I can't think straight or function in life. Is it the same thing with meth?

How closely related are they? To me it isn't a big deal, if it gives me the same effect , awesome. I don't really care about the name. But I'm a little afraid of the addiction part of it. I already struggle with amphetamine and opiate addiction. I honestly didn't even know you could take meth orally. I know nothing about it..and I guess I still can't be 100% that it is meth.
 
Methamphetamine is simply amphetamine with an extra methyl group, making it more potent, longer lasting, and with slightly different receptor affinities. It's not THAT different, but needs to be treated more carefully. It is more addictive and will raise tolerance more quickly than plain amphetamine.

It can be (and is) used medically under certain circumstances, so you can control yourself if you believe that you can. Just don't get too used to it. Going back to amp after meth will not give the same kick, so it can be a very slippery slope that quickly becomes a landslide. STICK TO ORAL USE. That will minimize the reinforcing properties and help you avoid becoming another meth tragedy.

Well I've never done meth, but I've done my fair share of Adderall. I personally know a lot of meth users, addicts would be a more applicable term really. Based on what I've seen and read, meth is pretty much just bad news. Don't get me wrong, I've also known people that have done meth a few times and never again, it's certainly possible.

Personally, if I found out that someone sold me meth and told me it was Adderall, (as it happened to you) I would be pretty furious. I wouldn't even think about doing any, and I'd advise you don't, it's HIGHLY addictive. I don't think I could even sell meth in good conscience. Some might think I'm exaggerating, but that is my opinion when it comes to meth.

Dex-amp (Adderall) is one thing, but meth is on a whole other level.
 
Meth doesn't get you higher and higher over a period of a few hours. Its effects are much more immediate, and even when taken orally, they generally manifest themselves after 45 minutes to an hour. Like I said, you probably got some random, possibly new research chemical bought online.
 
It would make me feel a lot better if it was just something off the internet. I've actually been looking at stimulants to order online the last few weeks..I love modafinil but the site I order from just disappeared.

If it's something that was ordered over the internet I wish I knew what it was because it works amazingly. The fact that it could be meth makes me feel really guilty taking it. I just took some for the second time and I opened a capsule and dumped a tiny but in my hand and licked it off. I thought it was a fine powder but looking at it out of the capsule it's like little pieces clumped together. Putting it directly on my tounge this time it burned surprisingly bad. I was going to take a picture but idk if that's allowed on here and probably isn't smart in general.

But sorry..I know I've been going on about it forever and I know there's no way I can ever know what it is for sure. I just really want to take it bc it's all I have and that would be a lot of money wasted..but a little voice keeps saying baaaad idea, stop now.
 
No offense but your dumb for not questioning the fuck out of your family member because its a family member theres no problem in directly asking wtf your about to ingest , instead you pop the pills and ask questions later. Backwards type of thinking wouldnt you say?? Trust me i dont judge and no doubt prob would have done the same lol. But damn woman call him out get to the bottom of it.

For now send the stuff your hesitant about up to NY, and ill test it for ya and get back to you :)

Try not to feel guilty, that's part of how the cycle of addiction deepens. I know, I've been there. If you decide to take it, own that decision, decouple the action from the stigma. If you can't do that, you should throw it away. If you can take it without guilt, while still being aware of and respecting the risks, you will be less likely to abuse it.

Set and setting doesn't just apply to psychedelics, any drug must be approached with a positive mindset to achieve a positive result. If you take it full of guilt and fear, those things will be reflected in the experience. If you take it with the intention of making a positive change in your life, well you get the idea. Don't fear it, but respect it.
