visible only in the light.
The still-green grass
longs to be covered over.
Blanketing the air,
snow is like white noise.
All sound around me stops,
as I listen to it fall.
Winter is coming,
not now, but soon.
So, enjoy the briskness
in the air without freezing
your nose and cheeks.
And feel the blood flow through your face,
and as it runs through your smile.
