Hello, I'm new and needed some good answers from those who know the deal. I was diagnosed last year with stage 1 Triple Negative Breast Cancer and now cancer free... YAY!! I am now trying to do breast reconstruction since the beginning of Feb. 2017, but have had alot of setbacks since I had my mascetomy.

Ok, so I have been on Hydrocodone 10/325 and have noticed that I've been having to take more than 1 pill 4 times a day, really... I'm doing double that, sometimes 2.5 X that. I'm afraid I have tolerated the dose now. The only reason I'm reaching for more is because the effects wear out and I'm having to watch the clock for the next dose I can do.

I'm concerned of taking too much Tylenol because I have been told I have a fatty liver in the past. I just need to know if drinking WGFJ will really prolong the effects of the Norco? I don't want to take stronger stuff but will if it comes to that. I believe Percocet is the next step and would WGFJ help in that also. I'm not really looking for the high as much as I do love that effect. I just need to be able to function when I get back to work in a couple of weeks. I am also on Gabapentin for the neuropathy pain that I had before chemotherapy which made it worse. I'm taking the norcos specifically because the Neuro pain is worse.

P.S. Save the tatas for the women you love in your life, early detection is key!! ?

Hey there raeraegirl, welcome to Bluelight :)

That's really fantastic that you're cancer free, you must be so relieved!

Regarding the pain meds, you should really have this discussion with your doctor. If you're in pain, then you need to make that clear. They should be helping you to manage this better if it's not enough, and I would expect them to be at least a little bit sympathetic given what you've been thorough. What did your GP say to you about the dosing and medication strategy you're on?

Kind regards,
CFC

^what CFC said.

I've tried grapefruit juice so many times for diazepam, and I found it had zero effect on the experience. I've tried chugging down litres of grapefruit juice (minging), blending entire grapefruits into smoothies (also minging), combining the two (very fucking minging) and really all it did was make me feel acidy and sick. Obviously benzos are different from opiods, but take such claims with a pinch of salt.

If you're trying to potentiate your prescriptions then it's a sure fire sign that your use is getting out of control (you're getting tolerance and chasing more), so please proceed with caution.

Anyway, welcome to bluelight and congrats on beating your cancer. :)

Hello, well I'm afraid some docs will think all looking for is a fix I guess. I did talk with my oncologist and she said if the current regmin we are doin is not helping she will give me stronger stuff. I dont really want that because Gabapentin can make me sleepy and adding a stronger drug will make me crash out I believe. Looking to just make my Norco work better so I can work and still chase after my toddler.
