Whipits... questions and concerns...

So me and a few buds decided to do some whipits tomorrow.

ive done them before but only a couple times... and usually just taking hits off of a pre-packaged ready whip can or something.

well this time we have a nitrous canister and 2 big boxes of cartidges. I know how to do them and all about effects etc.

what I am wondering is how harmful is it to binge on nitrous... what are the risks? and what do I need to do to avoid them?

this isnt something I plan on doing more than once a week or so for a bit.... so I am basically speaking of short term risks rather than long term addiction etc

you will be fine if you only plan to do it a few times... nitrous really isn't bad for you and isn't dangerous if you if you do it safely. even if you go on a small binge and then do it every so often you will be fine with no risk to your health or anything like that.

there really aren't many dangers associated with nitrous as some would have you believe... it only becomes risky when you do stupid and risky things with it. so there are basically a few precautions you need to take into account when doing whippits and if you follow them you wont have to worry.

the biggest concern with doing nitrous is the fact that you aren't getting oxygen while you are inhaling and holding in the N02. this is mainly an issue when people use the medical grade tanks rather than the small cartridges that you have. since you can only fill up the balloon so much you are totally safe. just make sure you breath in plenty of oxygen after inhaling the nitrous. and honestly, breathing in the nitrous and holding your breath for so long is no worse than just holding your breath normally...

it becomes risky when people fill up huge trash bags with nitrous and cover their whole body with the bag make it easy to suffocate. just dont fill up any plastic bags and put it over your head obviously. and i guess people have been in a car and shut the doors and turned on a nitrous tank and basically hot boxed the car. NOT a good idea!!!

but again, you have the cartridges so that shouldn't be an issue. otherwise, nitrous is not very bad for you if done in moderation. so all you have to do to avoid harm is to just use sense and don't do something stupid.

it does deplete you of vitamin b-12 so if you do a bunch of them you might want to take a 5 hour energy shot thing after to replenish that. i dont know what is important about vitamin b12 but i guess i just thought id mention that.

by the way, you get way higher from doing a whippit with a cartridge and a cracker than from a whipped cream can so just expect that.

Also regarding the whole I need to breath because I've been holding my breath for a long time feeling, it's primarily triggered by buildups of carbon dioxide not lack of oxygen (though it does contribute a little) so if you are breathing just nitrous you could voluntarily without noticing hold your breath until you pass out.

Anyone who hasn't seen that needs to watch it. I think it's 5 parts and they're all on youtube.

It's about how out of control his drug addiction got, but it's also got a lot of footage of him doing whip its. He talks about them too, he says he was addicted to those.
