Which Rx pain med is best?

I've always abused pain meds - I can't help it, I crave the high. But I've developed such a tolerance to Percocet that it's really annoying. I finally got my doctor to prescribe the 10/325 dosage instead of 5/325, so I was able to take less pills at once, but I still developed a tolerance very quickly ... Today I took my last 4 pills (40 mlgs of oxy) and didn't even feel a high. I was so pissed!

So, is there a Rx you like better than Percocet? Should I request Vicodin or Lortab instead? Or will I just have a tolerance to all pain meds?

Also, is there something I can take with my Percocet to enhance or prolong the high? Other than caffeine.

Only your doctor can recommend a different pain med for you. You seem like you have an addictive personality and if you do end up with stronger medication, you will likely end up abusing it as well. They lose their magic and you no longer get high from them, just keeping from getting sick.
