Which jobs make you more likely to do drugs, drink?

I figure the pimps and dealers, don't get high on their own supply. At least the good ones don't. I've met some pimps and dealers, and the ones I met are businessmen that don't fuck around. I figure the Mafioso are coke and drinks type of people, and gangsters are speed, weed and alcohol. My guess.
take it from the great, late BIG - NEVER GET HIGH ON YOUR OWN SUPPLY!

10 crack commandments; but dont worry, they work for all drugs, not just crack.

BTW,I used to work as a surgical tech and as a nurse...you'd be surprised how man have to go to AA classes of NA classes to keep their licenceses. Drug use in such a stressful job when it's accessible is not a good combo. Trust me. I've been there.

"Eighteen percent percent of miners are "heavy drinkers," defined here as "drinking five or more drinks on the same occasion (i.e., at the same time or within a couple of hours of each other) on five or more days in the past 30 days."

Do they drug test miners? I see a lot of people in my area get drug tested to work oil rigs and the rate of alcoholism is astounding. They really should be allowed to smoke a joint after work.
Not surprised about hospitality industry either I hang out with a bunch of industry people and they all do loads of drugs at weird hours.

opiates should be passed around every industry in the world. each day would be so much better and SOOOO MUCHHHH MORE WORK WOULD GET DONE!

^ For sure!! I am always so much nicer to people, I WANT to do things, I'm just all around more productive on opiates.

Well I've used drug my whole life or over half my life, BUT customer service is the worse...Retail(what I work in and the worse retail store that doesn't believe in Unions, treat employees like shit(nice ones here and there) and the ASSHOLE Customoers, boredom....Also resturants, I couldnt serve tables withouth an opiates & benzo mix, I'm way too nervous... I can spot out the people at work on opiates also, but i try to gently bring it into the converssaion but he actls like he doesn't know what I"m talking about, even though he told me his percs make him sweat, and I said ya my Subs make me sweat, lortabs & roxis also, but I guese him being older he didn't wanna rish his job. But his eyes are PINNEd, and his clothing department is SPOTLESS and he's always happy as fuck...thats how I was on Roxis, lol.

Edit: EVERYBODY smokes weed at my work place it seems, and that guy I was talking about use to work in a biker bar and got invited to their priviate parties...which is wierd is cuz he does not seem like a biker at ALL..Small guy alwawys cracking jokes, always helping people, anyway.

Painters! I don't know what it is about painting houses but fuck do they drink and drug something special.

I would have to say restaurants for sure. Although I've come to find many professions that require manual labor have a high rate of drug/alcohol abuse. I once read a study saying that people who work longer hours (50+ hours a week) are more prone to drink alcohol excessively. This study said this about professions in general.

Id definitely have to say strippers, cocktail waitresses, prostitutes, stock brokers, bartenders, artists etc.

^ hahaha! Damn I can't believe nobody said strippers or hookers until you!! Duh! That should have definitely been the first thing to come to mind!

Yes. The anecdata coming through the AOD sector is that there's a huge market for novel substances, because they don't show on tests.
