which is your favourite: First Person Shooter (taking nominations now!)

RtCW was the first FPS I owned on my own PC. for that it has a special place in my heart.
QuakeIII the standard in deathmatch.
QuakeLive is the future.

Unreal Tournament 2003 will always hold a place in my heart... Wrote some many hacks for it, it wasn't even funny.. all you needed to do was park yourself in the middle and no matter what angle, the second the hitbox was displayed.. you died

COD5 (well not 5, but technically WORLD AT WAR) is totally the best
with MOdern Warfare being a close 2nd

Desert Combat mod was, and still is, win.

Was playing it recently with a few remaining fans, but the servers are laggy as fuck and made it near impossible to be a pro helo pilot
 
Halo : Customs Edition

where's the poll btw?

Edit - Oops I didn't realize he said for the 360 only. Halo Customs Edition is a patch for the original Halo for PC. It was created so people could build their favorite H2/H3 maps(and their own original maps) and play on them H1 style.

I'm afraid I don't have a vote then. :( Since Reach is definitely fail

I half expected Killzone 2 to get a mention, but obviously not. I loved that game, the AI of the enemy soldiers & some of the cross fire fights were stunning, quite aesthetically pleasing for visuals too.




I'm going for Gears Of War or Dead Space though.
 
what about crysis? it seems to be quite popular on the pc, anybody play it before? i saw pics for crysis 2 for 360 and it makes me wanna get it but i've never played the first
 
crysis 2 is having an open beta test on 360 right now. you can try it and get a feel for it.
 
I got the original crysis upon heralding in my new PC, and it's actually pretty boring. Graphics are nice but the game itself is really repetitive.

The best online FPS for me would have to be bad company 2. Offers up something a bit different from COD.
