Which is your favourite empathogen, not counting MDMA?

A lot of mephedrone's toxicity is leveled out by 400IU of Vitamin E plus a multi and 5-HTP. But yeah, it is definitely nasty if you overdo it.
 
The classics

In my opinion in terms of prominent empathogens.

) Pure crystal MDMA

2) 4MMC

3) Old skool MDEA


Something for the future, or actually already present 4-FA, and I have not tried Ethcathinone yet.

3-Fluoromethcathinon seems to be a straight forward stimulant.

What an interesting thread--chur for posting! Like a few of the previous posters mentioned, I can't comment much on the majority of the substances mentioned. I have idiosyncratic reactions to every MD- family chemical I've sampled; they consistently elicit withdrawal and dysphoria, unfortunately. I am actually really curious about possible lower-intensity/toxicity analogues, or (better yet) new empathogenic chemical families that might have potential as psychotherapeutic drugs. Currently, there aren't any meds that treat the lack of empathy at the root of a number of mental illnesses. A novel empathogen that does not cause the user to quickly develop a tolerance to it would be really clinically useful. MBDB and MMAI had a little bit of promise, making me hope that they could lead to more effective chems. Thoughts?
 
Mephadrone, I just get really annoying withdrawals after using it. Like being EXTREMELY drowsy the next day and wanting to bump it to wake up. (Gotta out for addiction.)

Great for clearing anxiety and giving you a mildly happy mindset (no burning gut feeling, but any drug that helps me meet/connect with people more efficiently is a good drug :) )
 
At a Deadmau5 show in Detroit everybody was trying to flip mephedrone and it seemed like the entire crowd was on the drug. Me and my friends brought green =s with us from Chicago so we didn't partake. Seeing those people on it kind of made me never curious to try it. Still haven't to this day and it will stay that way. MDMA>research chems.
 
Here's all the potentially "empathogenic" drugs I've tried:

MDMA
methylone
mephedrone
MDPV
mescaline cacti
4-FA

IMO, methylone is the most euphoric and empathy-producing (nearly identical to MDMA for me, minus the short duration). Next would be 4-FA, followed by mephedrone, mescaline and MDPV in that order.

Mephedrone feels euphoric enough, but it reminds me more of crack or another highly-addictive drug than a lovey drug like MDMA. 4-FA is like a longer-lasting, more speedy versions of methylone, while mescaline feels somewhat like being poisoned for 14 hours (IMO). MDPV is just trash. So I would rank them as follows:

4-FA
mephedrone
mescaline
MDPV
 
You haven't listed it, but I feel aMT has got a lot of potential at sub-fully psychedelic levels. The body feeling of this as well as the euphoria are very pronounced. Obviously, with increasing doses, it becomes somewhat more psychedelic.

For what its worth, MDMA is my favourite chemical of all classes, and haven't found anything that could realistically replace it for me in complex social situations. My only problem is it doesn't last long at all, though I wonder whether this is due to very long term SSRI use, as the high tends to last 3-4 hours rather than the old 6 hours when I first started with MDMA. I can (with Piracetam) get as high on it as I ever have though.

EDIT: I think something like MDAI would work well in a pub like setting. Seems to mix well with lots of chemicals, and is actually rather nice with some alcohol.
 
aMT - after just one trip - is the closest I've found. But then I've only done MDMA, methylone and aMT. MDMA is the tops, but the trip is too short; methylone's horrible other than the burst of energy and va-va-voom it gives you. But it leaves me wired and unsatisfied and a bit wrecked the next day.

At the moment, it's aMT all the way for me.

Mephedrone was arguably just as euphoric as MDMA but it just wears off quick. Basically if the peak on MDMA was the entire experience, that would be mephedrone....hence the fiendy re-dosing that occurs with it.

That shit was so good though. I remember one night out on the town with friends, a couple 100mg meph capsules in my pocket, snorting one every hour or so right out of the capsule. The rush that would follow is indescribable.

A different night out with my girl, I bombed 250mg in capsules at the club, and then in about 30 minutes I got hit with a God smack of euphoria that nearly made me fall into my gf and knock her over on the dance floor! Again though, within about another 30 minutes the entire experience was about over. Oral doesn't seem to last significantly longer than nasal, with nasal providing a much, much bigger rush.
 
can MXE be counted?

pre-ban Mephedrone..... incredible high, chatty, euphoric, absolutely amazing.

downside = bad side effects, terrible come down, addictive
 
I'm going to order some 4-fa today in hopes I can use it in place of mephedrone when I party. The reports seem promising- I'm down to the last of my pre-ban mephedrone I've been saving, and I find the quality of what's avaiable just cannot match what I'm used to. :( it's sad to know it's no longer an experience I'll get to have.

I also would say 2c-i is among my favorites, very euphoric and pleasant visuals.
