which is your favourite: Comic Book Adaptation film?

since there are so many comic book adaptations, i took the top 50 grossing from some wesbsite i forget which.

I would say Flash Gordon but I believe that started as a radio show before it was a comic strip. So I went with Road To Perdition.

My inner child has forced me to vote for Superman. Yes, the ending is preposterous. Yes, Lex Luthor's sidekicks were a detriment (despite the quality actors involved). But it still retains that wonderful magic that makes it all work. The Krypton/Smallville sequences are note-perfect. John Williams' score is among the best of all time. And there will never be another Superman equal to Christopher Reeve.

This is a hard-ass question. So many of those films are all-time favorites, especially the Batman, Superman, and first two Blade movies. There are ones I've seen many times that I think are so-so, and ones I've seen once or twice but think are excellent. If I had to choose one criteria, though, I'd pick the one that blew me away the most the first time I saw it: Sin City. An interesting choice, seeing as to that I've never read the comic.

^^ Voted Constantine mostly for Rachel Weisz. She's incredibly sexy in it. :D
And has the better acted role (against Keanu, ugh - not hard). Plus Peter Stormare as the devil! I've heard from comic fanboys that its shite adaption but who cares?
There's not too many flicks that stand out imho from that list. Superman gets a nod and prob Hellboy, but there's a lot of HW drivel there.

Very hard to choose from. Off the top of my head I'll go with Superman 2. The villains were awesome, especially Terrance Stamp as Zod! I love the fight scene where they are fucking Metropolis up by ganging up on Superman three to one.

Superman 2 was very, very high on the list; in fact, if I'd chosen just by "how many times I can re-watch it and never get bored?", it would've won. Sin City won only because its visual style amazed me.

Much as I love Dark Knight, I still have to wait a little while for it to sink comfortably into my "all-time favorites" folder.
