Benzos Which is the "clearest" and least sedating benzo?

for me i don't think that profile is truly correct ^ above

i find alprazolam much more sedating than bromazepam (i guess this is taking it dependent dose wise)

6mg of bromazepam for me is the clearest benzo, no memory loss, general feeling of goodness, even a tad stimulating. tis a strange benzo. it did not sedate me to much extent.

once you start hitting 18mg+ then it's a different story... but according to the charts, that = 3mg of alpraz, which will have me blacking out/beyond tired
 
kolonopin by far. It has a long half life and its 1 for 1 as strong a xanax. Although it doesn't give the kick xanax gives because of its long mode of action. I tried something called oxepam once and I liked that too. If I want a buzz xanax all the way.
 
I'm shocked that so many people feel that clonazepam is the least sedating. I like the effects occaisionally, but something about that minty aftertaste just chills me out...too much.

Me too.
Oxazepam is the least sedating benzo IME, (And yes, I have tried them all - well 99% of them [Etizolam and Flurazepam being the one's that I haven't tried]).

Also...This study...
"OBJECTIVE: To assess the sedative effects in overdose of temazepam and oxazepam compared with other benzodiazepines to determine if this explains reported differences in fatal toxicity.
DESIGN: Cohort study of patients admitted with benzodiazepine poisoning.
SETTING: Newcastle, Australia.
SUBJECTS: 303 patients who had ingested benzodiazepine alone or in combination with alcohol and presented to a general hospital which served a well defined geographical area.
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Degree of sedation: Glasgow coma score, McCarron Score, and whether patients were stuporose or comatose.
RESULTS: Oxazepam produced less and temazepam more sedation than other benzodiazepines."

This is why I picked Temazepam. It works for anxiety without making me feel like I took something, by which I mean it doesn't effect my mood in any way other than reducing anxiety. Some other benzos can actually make me feel depressed for a short time, or make me more or less interested in certain things so my personality is altered too much for my liking.

For me the list is like this, from least sedating to most. However, I generally don't get very sedated from any of these unless I take a high dose. For other people some of these might be _highly_ sedating for them.

- Lorazepam for when I need to function/work but need something to take the edge off. I rarely _need_ them, but if I do have to take a benzo for anxiety during the day this is my first choice.

- Diazepam for when I have muscle spasms around my knees which are in awful shape, so the spasms cause me a great deal of pain. _However_ I rarely use it during the day unless I really have too. Instead I take it an hour or so before bed to calm the spasms down long enough to allow me to fall asleep.

- Alprazolam for sleep/panic attacks. However, my tolerance is pretty high due to years of use/mis-use but it isn't insane or anything. I had to stop taking it for months for it to be effective again. I try not to use them but when I really need a benzo for sleep/panic attacks this is what I reach for.

BTW I do not suggest combining benzos unless you know your own body/tolerance well but I often use a mix of the three above during the course of the day. For example I might take 5-10mg of Valium an hour before bed and add 1-2mg of Xanax on top right before laying down if I'm having spasms and insomnia at the same time. I know my tolerance well though and these doses are not suggestions, just examples.

I wish I could add more but I haven't really tried many other benzos. I will stress that these are _tools_ and are to be highly respected, take it from someone who had a bad stint with xanax. You don't want to put yourself in a situation where you're dependent on them. The W/D is the absolute worse thing I think someone can go through, its far worse that opiate withdrawal IMO.

Temazepam is not the least sedating benzo. Studies have shown it to be the most sedating while oxazepam is least.
 
Gidazepam.

It is a selectively anxiolytic benzodiazepine you can get it either in Russia, Ukraine and from a few Ukrainian online pharmacies (without a prescr.)
