Previous Post: (more to follow after)

Last friday i had a heavy binge on booze, 750mg of mdma, 4 pills and maybe more (i don't remember much).

I have had a few binges in my life similar to this but usually 6 months apart. This one was particularly heavy though. Will this have permanently damaged me?

I read that doing 8 pills over 4 days permanently damages your brain and i did the equivalent in one night.

So I guess my questions are- will this recent binge have done irreparable damage?

Also, I am at a festival next week and am wanting to do more - probably similar amounts for a few days. Will doing it this soon after be a bad idea? I don't often do these things so it will be a good half a year probably till i do it again. Should I be worried? (as the worry is what my main come downs are about - whether or not i've done damage)

Many thanks

I have been depressed for a long time - 10 years or so - and have been on anti depressents for a year now. I have problably only done these sort of nights out about 8 times in total (this one being the heaviest). Could just these few times have been the cause for this (i think i was down before i started doing anything) but my main concern is have i made it worse? If I have, will any damage be repaired completely with time.

I know i binged, especially this time, but would the small amount of times i've done it actually have effected me?

Also, seperately, is mdma worse than other drugs for damage? someone advised me to mix small amounts of lots of drugs eg, roll a few times, drop acid, shrooms and smoke weed for a night instead of my forementioned night out. is this actually better?

Many thanks

When you say anti-depressants, do you mean an SSRI?

If so they, for the most part, block MDMA's affects.. it's also been shown that a dose of an SSRI shortly after MDMA will reduce the neurotoxicity to ~none.

My guess is that if you have to ask us whether it did damage to your brain, then it didn't do much. I stay away from stimulants, I was on 60-120mg on Adderall a day for a year and got brain damage suddenly overnight. That was four yrs ago and I'm nothing close to my old self but I'm slowly working torwards it. You never know when it's too much until it's too late imo. One of my friends dropped one too many hits of acid one night, and he's mentally handicapped now and very unstable. He was perfectly fine before. I don't think an SSRI would protect neurons from neurotoxicity, maybe the serotonin receptors. I was on tricyclic antidepressants when I got brain damage even though those have neuroprotective qualities. You just need to take it easy and not binge on stuff.
