here's my story. i did a lot of acid last winter and the final trip was a bad one. i suffered extreme anxiety along with some HPPD for 5 months until I decided to get some help for the anxiety. I was prescribed wellbutrin (150 ml), which I abused. At 150 mL, it made my thoughts very acid-like. at 300 mL, it made me hallucinate, made me have a small version of a full blown trip. i was taken off that and put on Risperdal, which increased the acid effects even more.

Eventually I was hospitalized because I was acting like a maniac.

When I was hospitalized I was prescribed Lithium 900 MG, Synthroid, Lamictal 100 MG, and Zyprexa 10 MG.

Now I'm on Wellbutrin again, and i took 300 MG yesterday but noticed Zero effects.

So I figure it's true, one of my medicines has completely rid me of the acid flashbacks, but I'm really wondering which one it is.

does anyone have any clues?

^Probably the lamictal and lithium. More like the former- I think olanzepine has antagonistic effects on 5HT2 receptors (5ht2a being the receptor type thought to be implicated in psychedelic effects and some psychosis).

You're certainly on a fair amount of meds there my man, and generally they would be damping down CNS activity.

Can I ask- are you prescribed Wellbutrin? If so, that seems odd seeing as how you feel it bought about a "trip" like state. If not, seriously, don't take it- all those drugs are bound to interact in unknown ways, and you're probably better off being stable as opposed to manic/psychotic.

Take care :) The mind is a frightening place, but also beautiful and to be treated with *some* respect.

I thought risperdal was an anti-trip. Not saying it didn't reinforce your HPPD but whilst tripping it blocks LSD from doing what it does.
