Which book or books would you like to see be made into a movie?

Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire series. They would make kick ass horror movies. Except for her last few books which have become so kinky that the movies would need to be X-rated.

Also, Stephen Donaldson's Illearth War Books.
 
Actually that would make a whole new (and interesting) genre, wouldn't it? I'm sure there'd be lots of interest in it.
 
agreed. i'm sure there's a whole bunch of vampiric porn out there, but as for actual near-hardcore artistic films about vampires...not so much.

whereas there's obviously *shitloads* of literature about the subject. might be good if someone sorts it out one day :)
 
I don't like book to movies very much, but I do agree Ender's Game and the continuing series would make a great series of shows. I have always wanted to see The Heart of Darkness not Apocalypse Now style. I don't know if they ever made it or not, but Invisible Man would make a great movie if done right (keeping the symbolism intact).

Wow.....I loved that book, i read trhat so long ago but i agree that would make a great movie as well as the rest of the series

i've heard about that two years ago...haven't checked since...seems like it would be a somewhat difficult/expensive movie to make (visually speaking), but the story is amazing (on par with Fight Club).

A Song of Ice and Fire (series) by George RR Martin but im sure they'd completely fuck it up so maybe not.
 
A Song of Ice and Fire would be awesome, but it's just way too complex and long. :\
 
has anyone read memoirs of a geisha? i'm probably jumping the gun a look (and it would, i think, have to be a fuck-off long movie), but i've just begun reading it, and could imagine it being an amazing film.

still, i'm not very far in at all, so who knows what the rest is like. anyone care to shed some light on whether they think it would make a good film?
