in slr, i always find myself nodding in agreement with genericmind's advice. even when i don't agree with his opinion, i find he has a way of succinctly getting to the heart of an issue and giving advice which is relevant and constructive.

in ce&p, i always read pander bear's responses. his posts always address the issue at hand and tend to be well-considered and elegantly written. in a forum where there's a lot of (over) emotional barrage, his contribution is measured and always illuminating.

in the lounge, i'm digging tally 2.0. tally and i have had our differences over the years but this new incarnation is spontaneous and highly amusing. in a forum filled with people who trot out tired memes and just repeat crap from elsewhere on the internet and think that makes them funny, tally 2.0 is a genuinely funny, original voice.

there are many others but that's a start. what about you?

Good thread! TLB is one of my favorite people to read posts from... any time I see his name as the last poster, I know its going to be a worthwhile read. This goes for felix and tobala when he was still with us.

Cane2theLeft always offers such great insight and amazing patience no matter who he is talking to, I really admire the way he works with others.

I have more but I'm going to save them for later in the thread. :)
 
I really value bluelighters who make me laugh. So these blers come to mind:

I also enjoy reading mariacallas', PerpetualIndulgance's and tribalgirl's posts. They come off as really really chill and down to earth women I wish I lived closer to.

I have to give a shout to zorn for his epic and incredibly insightful posts.

forgotten has been a consistently great and straight forward poster on this site. I'm pretty sure the legal and other advice he's given throughout the years has totally changed people's lives.

HNIF is also a great read because he knows what he's talking about, comes across jovially and has a great range of movie info. :)

In all seriousness though I would have to say: Captain, Cane, and Amapola

Those 3 are sages when it comes to just about any question.
 
I would like to mention Captain H and Cane. Although I am pretty new around here I admire the intellect and professionalism the aforementioned users purport in their posts. I also admire Captain H for his amazing FAQs and harm reduction guides.
 
I really like GenericMind's posts. He's a bit of a fucker, but sometimes (especially in CE&P) his one liners have me rolling.

tribal girl always has awesome music or photos to share :)

TLB, Bluelight Dad, always seems to say the things I want to say, but better, and in a shorter form. A wonderful asset to the SEC contingent in Sports & Gaming.

Escher's Waterfall has clear, to the point, and enjoyably calm responses to everything. He's unflappable, which CE&P needs.

Max Power is hilarious.

as loungers go..

I love DexterMeth, Pharcyde (even though I have to edit his crap sometimes), and Swerlz. Boys who love punk, metal, riot grrl and hip hop are always enjoyable, and they all are hilarious.

eta: Khadijah always makes the most awesome, enjoyable, thought provoking threads. I love reading and responding to her threads, and she is really a fantastic person & mother behind all of that.

Busty St. Clare has one of the sharpest, wittiest tongues I have ever read. and he posted a picture of himself naked. That is fantastic.

I always read Cyc's responses, they are always so well thought out and full of information.

qwe is a bit feral but makes really interesting posts about the future and other science-y related stuff.

Fastandbulbous-one of the main reasons that I chose to join Bluelight...insane chemistry knowledge in a friendly package

Captain.Heroin-helpful to so many including myself, active across the entire site

Laika-one of the first mods to be nice to me back in the day, one of the nicest people on this planet

ebola?-insane chemistry knowledge along with great insights into many subjects

Felix-brings a sense of humour to many forums that need it, has knowledge and isn't afraid to share it

So many more to mention.....
