Lorazepam

then Diazepam (best all rounder)

recently Nitrazepam; not as powerful as i'd anticipated, i like a hypnotic to be a 1 pill thing like zopiclone or zolpidem.
yes first one I have to hands down now loraz is best for anxiety and a few valiums added to 4 to 6 mgs is amazing

I'm pretty sure only xanax and klonopin. If i had any others than i forgot : /

Sweet Jeebus, who knew there were so many benzos out there?

I've only done 3--Xanax, Valium and Ativan. Valium was my fave because it didn't make me feel like a slobbering drunk who stumbles around and then falls asleep for 20 hours. Just pleasant, mild sedation.

Benzodiazapines are anxiolytics that are to be used for short term durations only. The half life of these medications can vary from 7 to 9 hours for something such as Ativan (Lorazapam) and up to 100 to 250 hours for something like Valium (diazapam) or Dalmane (flurazepam).
This is my personal list:
1)Alprazolam
2)Diazepam
3)Clonazepam
4)Flurazepam
5)Temazepam
5)Triazolam
6)Flunitrazapam (illegal in the US)
7)Clorazepate

I am currently trying to overcome a 5 year addiction to diacetyl morphine (heroin) and I find them to be very efficient. The thing that one MUST remember is that the half life of these drugs WILL cause physical dependence and withdrawal that can last for months depending on the type of benzo that one will is using.
If one is using these medications and wishes to withdraw with the least discomfort then I would recommend starting with a short acting benzo used somewhat frequently in a low dosage such as Xanax or Ativan and then moving to a longer acting benzo such a Klonopin, due to the fairly level peak plasma concentration relative to the half life or Tranxene, which is by far THE one to be sought after when kicking benzos, or if you are in a pinch try Valium, but it should be used sparingly.

What someone must always consider is the half life and the peak plasma concentration of these meds.
Yes they can be fun, but the body builds a tolerance to these meds very quickly and the usual reaction is to use more to achieve the same effect.

I am obviously using them; however, I extend a warning if used frequently.
They will most certainly cause rebound insomnia and very manic swings in emotion.

Know your meds and use them accordingly.

Benzos can be some of the most difficult meds to kick when used consistently over a long period of time.

Just a word of caution from my own personal HELL of experience.

-This is my first post so I am very glad to be apart of the community.

Zolpidem and the like are NOT benzos. Zolpidem tartrate is the medication Ambien and although at a higher dosage it can be effective as an anxiolytic, the side effects of the medication itself more or less take away from the anxiolytic effect of the medication. Mostly due to disambiguation.

I would recommend doing as much research as possible outside of these boards in order to understand the exact biology of each of these medications.

I think they're really only recreational by themselves for those of us with anxiety problems (maybe some appeal for folks with some other issues too). If that's not you, it's not surprising you didn't really get anything out of them feste.

They really potentiate the hell out of other GABAergic drugs though. A lot of people will have a couple of beers or glasses of wine with their benzos, personally I find GBL/GHB combines spectacularly with them. Consider doing something like this and see if you don't reevaluate your position. You just have to be very careful with your dosage.

Do not EVER combine GBL/GHB with benzos for several reasons.

It is impossible to regulate the dose of GHB unless it is done by an experienced user. If someone decides to do this then NEVER use over 3 ml to start with and never do the "capful" method of dosing. Always use a oral syringe marked with the dosage in ml, but only if it is pure GHB. Pure GHB has a salty taste reminiscent of sweat and is viscous at room temperature because it is essentially a salt.
The effects of GBL are too difficult to measure effectively because GBL is turned into GHB by an individuals personal metabolism rate.
AVOID GBL AND BENZOS.

I have lost friends because of this and I would not recommend this to anyone.

The problem is controlling the dosage. GHB should be dosed according to body weight and tolerance and the effect of combining benzos and GHB/GBL is subject to innumerable outside circumstances that CANNOT be quantified with someone who says "take a capful".
What will happen is no different than drinking and taking GHB.

A coma

While it can be done, it is more like playing Russian Roulette with your life.

IF YOU NEED SOMETHING MORE, then try smoking some herb. It is 100% safe and will more than likely give one the results that are desired.
