I might write to him it's been a long time. Not sure if its his current residency but cant hurt trying... anon ofc. Alternatively if someone closer to shambles would pass by or write please do.

I'm sure the bad news being speculated about would've travelled far faster than the good news that Shambs is too busy juggling multiple women to post on here at the mo...
 
I understand your point SHM. My concern is that he is unwell and isolated. If he was a random off a forum, fair enough it's OTT and inappropriate to visit, but he's not, he's a friend and I'd do this for any friends if they vanished.. I can't really explain why it is I am so concerned on here, but I am. I definitely wouldn't go just to satisfy my curiosity, especially after everything that has happened to me, someone's personal life is not a spectacle for others..

I'll discuss it with the people I was going to go with. I don't want to invade his privacy unnecessarily..

And yea SHM, I can appreciate your thought of people having a morbid curiosity about this, but there are those of us who genuinely do care about his wellbeing man.
 
Got a letter from Shambles today and he's ok - no computer or internet, but he's hoping to be back on line in a few weeks.
 
Someone have a spare laptop they could send him that their not using perhaps ?.I might be able to do that if it was acceptable to himself.

Hey thats great news, I'm guessing an internet connection may be more of an issue than hardware, I dont have a laptop kicking about at the moment but I have got a couple of desktop units and keyborad and mouse (I have feckin shit load of stuff in the loft which just gets used for fixing up friends computers etc) which I'd be happy to send him...but alas no screens.

I'd be happy to cover the postage, I'm sure he can sort himself out but the offers there if Mr Shambles wants to take it up, the place just hasnt bee the same without him, hope he is well.
 
Really pleased about this. I imagined it would be the case. I'm sure he'll have enough drugs to make it through this hard time. Remember; just £3 a week can keep Shambles from ever sobering up again. Dig deep.

I don't have much insight into who you are Shambles, but for some reason this thread [well, Kate's 'Proof of Life' post], just added a little sunshine to my otherwise pretty shite day ... so <3 to you, and hope you manage to get net access soon, if only to satisfy this knitting circle lot ;p
