Where To Get LSD Blotter tested For Potency?

I've heard that in The Netherlands you can have blotter tested to see an approximate amount of micrograms contained in the sample.

I even heard it might be free of charge for harm reductions purposes!

Maybe Solipsis can pipe up here or someone else from The Netherlands.

I hope this is not considered sourcing as it is similar to ecstasydata which is promoted on bluelight and it could be an invaluable help for those that would like to have a better understading of their LSD dosing.
 
I always wondered if you could somehow use that (Netherlands LSD Potency Testing) service if you are NOT in the Netherlands... Like sending it from a different country? I know you could do it if you had a friend who lived in the Netherlands, but that's not what I'm wondering.
 
off topic, but isnt there a good chance of the blotter potency going down when shipping?
i mean even putting the tab away somewhere perfect its still gonna go down in potency little by little, or i may be wrong on this
i mean, i doubt a tab will last long in a hot mailbox or van, even an airplane if the temps get hot in the storage area
would shipping to the netherlands be worth it?
anyone happen to have any imput on this, dont mean to put your thread off topic, im just curiouse
 
I guess I can put a more serious spin on this;

No; the NL government won't allow foreign samples to be tested by foreigners and they don't publish the results from street drugs they test in NL. How it works is if you want something tested you can do so but you can only test so many things. It's attached to your name and when the lab get the results it's only revealed to the person who submitted it.

Theoretically if you have a friend in NL you could send them something, they could submit it and report the results back to you.
 
Actually the way I experienced testing in 2 centres in Amsterdam, is that you're given a number of your sample when you deliver it. After a week you can call them, tell them the number, and they will tell you the results. This call can only be made once, to prevent dealers from giving out the testnumber to clients to let them verify the quality of the drugs they're purchasing. All of the testing is completely anonymous. As long as you come to deliver the material to be tested in person, it's all fine. I don't think you can send in dope by mail though to get it tested ;)
 
How to determine the potency of an LSD blotter square:

1) Get a stable, calibrated balance that reads to 0.0001g

2) Weigh a meticulously cleaned and dried 10mL beaker

2) Extract the LSD from a single square of blotter paper with ~5mL benzene in the 10mL beaker

3) Dry the benzene completely, under a fume hood with a gentle stream of air or nitrogen

4) Weigh your 10mL beaker again. Do not touch it with your hands prior to weighing, as the heat transferred to the beaker will skew the reading

5) Subtract the value obtained in step 4 from the value obtained in step 2

Congratulations, you now know the mass of LSD present on a hit of your acid. :)
 
^ Better off using 10 hits and dividing your number by ten. A 0.0001g analytical balance is only sensitive to 100ug, any reading would just come in 100ug increments and that would have to be one hell of a strong blotter.

Something else; there's other ingredients in the piece of blotter paper that would get extracted with the solvent (ink, cellulose, stuff that wouldn't evaporate with the solvent). I think that fact smashed your tek Rog, sorry man (edit; being facetious and nit picky =D)

Also; I think an alcohol would be more appropriate seeing as LSD in blotter is likely in salt form and thus not soluble in non-polar solvents.

Ah hell, stop spending your money on acid and save up for a GC/MS :D

Over on the mdma thread on eead there is talk of a lsd reporting site just like the pill report site. Bearlove knows more but it looks like its going ahead. =D

Yeah, good call on all point. Gotta love bein' high and thinking yer being smart when yer overlooking huge, giant mistakes. :D

Using 10 hits would def be the only reasonable way to go. Meh, that poops all over my microscale technique though. This was my reasoning:

I looked up the MSDS for LSD on erowid (I know, I know-- I need a Merck manual) and saw "soluble in water and benzene", so I assumed they meant the tartrate salt-- forgetting that LSD is slightly soluble in water even before conversion to its salt form.

So I says to meself "hmmm... well, if it's soluble in benzene-- and you only need to dissolve a hundred micrograms or so-- then 5mL of benzene would be more than enough to dissolve the LSD but definitely not enough to dissolve an appreciable mass of cellulose if done with proper technique."

Then I says to meself "when in doubt, weigh by difference!" :D

But yeah you're right on all points. But just for the record, I was right there with you about the cellulose, inks, and trace organic contaminants-- that's why I suggested a microscale technique. Should have thought about it more before typing, though.

This has also happened to me while attempting some kitchen chemistry guide or something. It all makes sense until you start doing it.
