which muscle??
does it hurt less in fat or in muscle???
should i do it sitting down standing up or laying down??

Hurts more in the muscle, but i'm guessing it also is absorbed better as there is a better supply of blood to the muscle? i either go for the side of the thigh or the bicep.

I prefer my upper arms and will use my thighs if I need to rotate sites. I find that the thighs tend to hurt more and area bit more uncomfortable afterwords than the upper arms. Also, like mentioned above it is wise to push the plunger slowly.

Occasionally buttocks but accidentally shot an IM dose of ket into an artery once cos I got careless so I generally use my thighs now.

Do it slowly like it should be done and feel no pain.

Makes no difference.

Injecting anything that's not sterile and intended for IM use can result in amputation so take a care as to what you stick in there <3

Hmm interesting, I I.M. ketamine all the time and my muscles seem perfectly fine. I go to the gym multiple days a week and have little-to-no scarring. I think you better research before you actually know what you're talking about, man.

IM vs. IV long term

I always use the hip/ outer side of the buttocks area, as that has more padding :) The only problem is that if you use the same injection sites for IM repeatedly the tissue becomes hard and less permeable (otherwise known as sclerosis), and if that happens, you need to give that area a break until it gets looser and returns to a more normal state.

One sign that you have over used a site-it becomes hard to push the needle in because there's too much resistance. Another sign is if you start to see discoloration, or if it becomes sort of numb to the touch. Some people think that's a good thing, because then it doesn't hurt, but it means that site is totally compromised.

I also use upper thighs, on the top or off to each side, since this is another area with quite a bit of padding. When doing IM's on your hips/butt area, be REALLY careful, as some drugs, if given in the wrong location can actually cause paralysis - something to do with the spinal nerves I believe? Anyway, I take IM shots everyday for a chronic medical condidtion and I've always been told this info. by the docs and nurses who have helped me out.

The thigh is OK too, but avoid the femoral artery, as well as accidentally hitting tendons/ligaments - OUCH!!! I have done this and I jumped so hard from the pain that my friends almost had to peel me off of the ceiling lol! Different drugs are harder on the body to different degrees, so that makes a difference too, as does the volume of fluid you're shooting. Any of the more alkaline stuff will burn like hell and start to mess up the tissue very quickly.

My veins are very burned out - whenever they need to get a line on me at hospitals, they just do a Central line or a cut-down if they're desperate. For being 33, it freaks the docs out that my veins are so crappy, but I've been an IV opiate user for my entire adult life, and I'm really petite (5'2", 110 ibs.), so my veins weren't that great to start with and I have overused them for way too long. At last count, I've had over 24 central lines put in, and even that area is starting to build up scar tissue :( The last time I was in the hospital, they were getting lines in my feet, neck, and upper thigh/groin area - not so fun.

So, I have been using IM more and more, and while it is not as good of a high as the IV method, it does pretty well, and definitely lasts longer. Also, you can hide IM use if you are not out about it to everyone else in your life (except from your honey, obviously).

Has anyone else been through this also? The losing of veins to a point where IM is the only other option? If so, did your veins ever really "recover" from being overused? Just curious. Captain Heroin - you're an opiate fan too, right? What's your experience with this?

When on cycle I normaly just rotate between delt and chest injects. I'll use a 1" for delts and 5/8 for chest shots. I stoped doing glute shots long ago due to awkward angle
