We are moving from being totally illegal, via a de-criminalization stage, to a legal stage (hopefully).

Here is at least one concrete example. (Illinois)

Note that it legalizes the Adult use, but does not allow any ability to grow it; so growing is illegal still.

House Bill 1438 promotes equity and invests in the communities that suffered through the war on drugs, serving as a model for the legalization and decriminalization of cannabis.

This is different than, California for example, that has some ability to consume and grow.

Moral of the story: Do the due diligence regarding the law in your local area directly from their current sources, don't believe anything I or anyone tells you in a forum. Your freedom is important

What does legal mean?

ok i guess it's a fucking semantics battle technically hahaha

but my point isn't for pedantry, i believe using the term has connotations and i don't want the fight to stop or slow. we need to remain vigilant, because big cannabizz don't want tom, dick, and harriet to grow their own (good) weed, and the legislatures are apt to follow the $$$$$ and force us to consume big cannabizz (mediocre) weed.
