Most chemical suppliers only seem to supply industrial chemicals or sell to those affiliated with institutions, and I have yet to find any that supply advil at 12am. For personal research it seems difficult to locate suppliers with the correct commodities. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Pretty sure there's a hard and fast rule around here about giving away source information on any drugs, legal or otherwise.

I believe the rule you are referring to is worded as "attempting to solicit or obtain contraband substances or substances of a quasi-legal status; or information on how to do so;" I however, am a independent researcher and I am not soliciting or attempting to obtain by way of this forum anything other than information. Information is legal. The chemical in question is also legal as a research chemical, so I am attempting to obtain information on a legal chemical by legal means.

By the way, in no way should this question be construed as being limited to advil which was just one example. Although information pertaining to it would be especially helpful. I am merely trying to find out where one would go to obtain NSAIDs in general without being part of an institution eg. as an independent researcher or individual.

No sourcing.
Baaaaahhhh, I believe this is the rule you are referring to

Rules have been established to protect Bluelight and its members against abuse. Use of Bluelight for any purpose that is unlawful, or in any manner which could impair the operation of this site or any other party's use or enjoyment of this site, is strictly prohibited. Specifically, you may not:

use Bluelight in any way, shape or form for unlawful purposes, including, without limitation:
attempting to solicit or obtain contraband substances or substances of a quasi-legal status; or information on how to do so;

I am not asking about contraband or anything illegal or that can get anyone in trouble. If someone asks where to get Advil at 12am, and you answered Walmart would you have broken the rules? Think about it.

AKA user...

We can't help you solicit ANY drug...

I am not user, I am an autodidact chemist/biologist. No I don't have a PhD but science is science regardless of if I have a diploma with societies stamp of approval. You are like the lynch mobs of the dark ages trying to keep it elite, and by elite I mean closed off to snobs with no interest in it other than as a superficial status symbol.

If you cant offer any advice then refrain yourself. Go join the DEA and screw science more, you are already their devoted advocate.

Ibuprofen is not in any grey area, and it is at a walk-in store...

You can't and will never be able to acquire what you are requesting.

Therefore what you said is irrelevant, and we can't point you in any direction.

Keeping it elite is why you don't have it, so you can't fuck it or yourself up.

I understood your original question. I still think the rule applies but the mod should be able to let you know for certain. Hope you find what you need either way.

BDD Forum Guidelines said:
1) NO SOURCES
This is extremely important. We do not allow posts discussing sources for ANY substance or drug paraphernalia, legal or illegal. In the past we made an exception to this rule for harm reduction supplies, (like bacteriostatic water, micron filters, etc) but our site policy regarding such links is currently under review so in the meantime even harm reduction supplies will be prohibited until further notice. We will keep this updated if there are any changes.

Along with the BLUA, there are also the BDD forum guidelines, which you broke.

And to answer your question, try this site.
